I need help how to get Nazjatar rep(Waveblade Ankoan)!
Today I only found quests which gave me around 400 in rep.
How do you people do to get rep fast and much?

I’m getting 10 times as much rep at Mechagon than on Nazjatar.

Please help me :slight_smile:

Do pet battles and farm rares, there are drops from rares in Naz that grants some rep.

Raise your all your followers. Each one give a rep quest at 3 and 5. If you stick with one you miss-out.

400 aint right. Theres 300 rep a day just from quests, then world quests for another 400 ish. Look up rare trees, they drop item for 500 rep. When ever you get ya followers 3/5/7 you get rep. We’ve had 3x emissary for 1500 rep too etc. Pet battles are good as well. Took 7 days to get revered, 14 to get exalted roughly for me, hour a day each zone.

Do the follower quests (3 x 150 rep iirc), the bounties (3 x 50), the 6 WQ (6x 75), the Nazjatar PvP event (500 rep iirc) and the weekly call from the depths (500+200 rep)

May have missed others but that’s mostly what i do to farm the rep.

Overall i have 3k more rep for Nazjatar than Mechagon although i didn’t try the fishing and pet battles.

Oh, don’t forget that crabs, rays and snakey things (I can’t be bothered to look up what they are called) have a change to drop items that give follower rep (50), but give faction rep as well. 150 a time as I recall.

Farm rares is impossible as I do not know when they spawn and do not have an addon which shows when they spawn.
PVP quests I am not interested in.
Pet battles I always lose.
Killing rares gives no rep.

well then get the addons and look up which pets you need in order to beat the battle pet wqs the easiest. certain rares give repeatedly rep, not all though.

you gotta put in some work its not going to get handed to you. people who got flying after like a week did all those things, whether they liked or were interested in them or not.

apply an Contract for extra rep:

(only 10 rep per, but all BfA WQs get it)

and do the other things specified in this guide.

I literally didn’t log in to them the first three days of the patch, and then I did only the convenient bits, and I finished exactly a week ago now, so while it’s not a terribly fun place, especially when it seems that everone but you has flying, it’s really not that long a grind. And as far as I can see from your armoury, you’re at 5600/12000 Ankoan vs 8800/12000 Rustbolt, which is not a terrible imbalance.

Stick to it. You’re getting there!

Exactly as Gráinne said, with contract i got 200-500 more rep every day by doing all WQs i could find.

So get one. They will save you an insane amount of time, and you can always uninstall it when you’re done farming rep.
https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/tomcats-tours-nazjatar - this one is pretty handy because, not only does it show you where the rares are, it will let you know if it’s lootable.
If you’re not using addons for rep grinds you’re only hindering yourself unfortunately. I know it sucks that it feels necessary, but use what you can to get through it quicker.

I am using 33 addons but can’t find an addon which shows what rare will spawn in what time.
I was asking for that but as I see no one here have any answer for it.

I bought an waveblade ankoan contract.
Just did all the dailies and world quests and did all the other world quests in zandalar and kul’tiras.

Contracts grant you 10 extra reputation to the corresponding faction upon completing any world quest.

Plus the pet battle world quests grant rep as well.
And killing 1 rare a day grants 50 rep.

So for example if there are 10 world quests up in Drustvar that equals 100 rep for Ankoan.

If you are trying to get flying, then do all of the quests on the map every day, all of the WQ’s and the dailies.

Plus kill rares that you see on the map or announced in chat. It should take you about 2 weeks to get flying if you do this for both Nazjatar and Mechagon.

You asked

which is a slightly different wording, and an entirely different meaning.

RareScanner shows them when they spawn, but nothing at all can show when the next one will spawn, since they are not on exact timers, and even if they were, you would have to have seen when the last one died.

So I’m afraid there is no way of predicting when they will spawn. I understand that now, when most people there have flying, it is pretty much impossible to get to rares in time in Nazjatar without a flying mount (and even with one, a lot of the time!)

It took me 9 days just by doing:

  1. All WQ (ONLY in mechagon/nazjatar)
  2. All dailies
  3. All pet battles.
  4. Storyline
  5. Rares only if I encountered one, never really farmed or camped (with exception of rustfeather as I want mount from him)

Didn’t have any contract, didn’t farm giant corals (altho I did kill them few times when i encountered them).
Never step foot out outside of mechagon and nazjatar.

But if you didn’t do part 1 then yeah, doing other WQ is needed. And contract will help.

depending on what pets you have lvled:

most of the 8.2 pet battles seem to involve dots and stampede debuff. nearly all the fights follow a similar setup, with the same pets bis for several fights.
just follow the instructions and basically turn your brain off.

there are (i think) 2 add ons that are handy for pet battling unless you want to get deep into it, and for 8.2 you probably dont even need them.

this site (for me) has been invaluable for completing nearly all pet battle achievements, cause i personally have no interest in pet battling. i only do them for the achievements and to collect the pets as collectibles.

and now… for rep. ty blizzard. no sarcasm. sarcasm.

Do everything you see in nazjatar.

Kill any rare you see.

Iirc it is called Handy Notes. I have it, but also had one called TomTom or something. Try search for HandyNotes. It’s really… handy.

I say listen to the Pandarens, “Life is to be savoured”. Don’t rush it. at 1800 per emissary you will need around 12 or them. fewer if you get rep from a few other sources along the way. that’s only 48 WQs spread over a month or six weeks.
What do you need flying for right now? Level allied races while you wait on emissaries.

I’m only doing the Emissary there. Of course this is slow, I’m only a few hundred into Honoured. But the frustration level is tolerable.

I didn’t know about the extra rep from the followers though, so I might do a bit more follower levelling.
But all the other run around looking for rares which are hard to get to (especially before they die) for a chance at some more rep is a lot of frustration for little reward.
