I really want to obtain the Dark Phoenix! As it’s really old content and I’m a solo player it’s difficult for me to get a group together! I’m wondering if there are any alliance guilds on silvermoon that would have a spare spot available for me to join and grab this mount?

It is equally easy, and perhaps easier, to make an alt on any realm to join any guild anywhere that has it available. I have done that for pets and mounts.
Weakling! I am rolling my own guilds and getting achievements on them. (Just kidding. It’s pretty hard to do in this particular case.)
Just create another seven accounts and level up a toon in each and then voila your own guild with guild achievements. You might need another seven laptops to run them though, could get irksome…
