Blizzard seems 4 years did nothing from last thread in technical issues with quest Meeting the Orcs wich is main quest of blood elf story quest line leads to OG to Saufrang …Saufrang is not there. I tried multiple options at chromie and still cannot find him to talk and continue in quest.
Did anyone had experience how to complete this quest ?
The usual answers are - 1: exit the game and restart it. 2: Dump the quest and re-take it. 3:
That fails dump it clear cache and restart game.
It seems more like problem of phasing inside og
Make sure you have completed ‘Grim Tidings’ and ‘For the Queen’ and then he will appear.
Wich means to end quest of classic blood elf questline i need to go trough whole BFA to get prequest for kill Jaina to talk with Saufrang …ye GG Blizzard that will learn me a lot about story when i will skip most of expansions
Have you tried the solution in the comments in Wowhead?
Wowhead is great for this kind of situation, I’ve overcome many bugs / weird phasing issues / being OPed due to content being very old / me being rubbish at finding cave entrances and NPCs etc etc thanks to comments on Wowhead.

“If you are going for the loremaster, and stuck at this point with no npc to turn in, check and see if you have completed the [Grim Tidings] Grim Tidings quest chain or the ![For the Queen] For the Queen quest. After completing one of these, Saurfang will show up where he’s supposed to be for your turn in. Hope this helps.”

Yep its what im talkin about. I would need to play TBC,Cataclysm,Pandaria,Dreanor,Legion in row to finaly get into BFA to have done this quest after half of expansion of BFA to unlock end of quest from lvl 10 bloodelf classic …GG Blizzard.
Gotcha - so you’ll need progress through the Horde storyline of BfA to complete one of the two quests needed to sort the Saufrang issue. But it’s a long time since I did it, so I cannot remember for sure. I’m not understanding why you’d need to play through all the other expacks just to get into BfA.
Because i want to play in order how its used to be ? to learn about story.
Ah, I see the problem now. Yeah, the game doesn’t really work that way in 2024. I remember spending several months levelling my first character back in 2017 with the old levelling system and really did get a good feel for the game as I progressed through many zones across the game, but Blizz doesn’t want players to do that now. The emphasis is on quick levelling to get players into current expack / end-game content as soon as possible, with “legacy” content still there only for farming mogs and mounts and for completionists. Best way imho to experience the story in Retail is to get a relevant char (in this case a blood elf) to max level and then go back and nuke your way through all the old quests, dungeons and raids etc. However, there are quite a lot of phasing issues like this one in the game now, and several quests along the way that are hard to do when you’re OPed as you end up killing mobs you need to weaken (you’ll need a toy that weakens yourself). It’ll take a lot of effort and Wowhead research.
