Need help understanding new players

Hi!
thanks for taking the time to read my post

I just bought my friend world of warcraft for the first time ever playing it, though i already have a existing account.

i wanted to play with him and we both made new characters to start at level 1, we are both now level 20 and he is forced to do all of the dragonflight campaign, mean while ive been forced into skipping the content to go immediate to picking my area content.

even picking the same content i simply cannot do the same campaign quests as he is… i was wondering at what point will we be able to sync up our campaign missions and do them all together?

Thank you!

So he is doing Waking Shores.

You should be able to do Waking Shores with him - IF you have done the same quests previously, so that you are at the same place. Has one of you done quests the other hasn’t?

The other thing to try is Party Sync. When you are in party, he should have a Party Sync option showing at the bottom of his Quest Log.

When he invites you to Party Sync, your quests and levels are synced, and you should be able to do the same quests even if you have different quest histories.
