Need help with cpu

Hallo,

I am at the point for a cpu upgrade and I want it to be viable for the years to come so I am going with amd (am5 is supported atleast till 2025).but I can’t choose between the 7600x 7700x and the 7800x3d as I am not sure how much more fps I will get with each of them.

I currently have i7 8700k but experience massive fps drops especially during raids and dungeons. So I hope that gets fixed with a new cpu (and everything needed for it). My gpu is a 4070 and play on a 1440p screen. Will the 7800x3d give more fps in wow to validate the 150 euro price jump from 7600x?

Thanks in advance

no pc can have good performance on a 20 year old engine.

same to lineage 2.

100% yes and it is the best CPU for WoW and gaming in general atm.
I own a 5800X3D and it doubled my FPS from a 3900X before.
So with a 7800X3D you will see more than double the FPS you are getting now.

7800x3d or i9 13900k are your best bets.

Don’t be sad if they perform worse than you expect tho, the game is badly optimized and fps drops in raids and crowded areas will still occur.

While the Intel is better if you are also doing productive work, the AMD is much more energy efficient AND also is using a new platform which will get at least 2-3 more generations out of it unlike Intels, which is a dead end.

You rarely drop below 60 with a 5800X3D and even less so with a 7800X3D, that is with lots of addons like WAs and nameplates etc.
Most of the time the 7800X3D should be between 80 and triple digit FPS in raids.

lol i play with a gtx 1080 and a i7 4790k and 1080p monitor and i rarely drop 60 fps anywhere in the game xD with graphics on 10 xD
