Need help with keybindings for switching targets

I’ve seen many players use number keys for easier switching, but I find it hard since I am used to playing with num keys for my rotation (1-4) , defensives (SHIFT + 1-4) and stances (CTRL + 1,2). May you give me some advice how should i procceed with keybinds for arena/ss targets? Should I change them or can you recommend something else which will still be convenient to be able to easily swap.

Everybody using arena123 targeting is a myth. A lot of top players, even blizzcon champs just tab target and occasionally click, when targets are stacked.

If you want to go the tab target route, I’d recommend getting an addon like RETabBinder, so that you can swap between normal tab target outside of arena and having player only tab targeting enabled inside of arena.

Generally I’d recommend to get a MMO mouse, if you want to go full arenatarget123 because it’s just convenient, since the layout is 3x4 buttons, so 4 rows for 123.

Also you seem to be using only the shift- and ctrl-modifier, which I also did in the past, but I started to incorporate the alt-modifier on top of that, during SL. Many players just use alt+1, alt+2, alt+3 for targeting.

Can confirm
Logitech G600 and use 6 buttons for target and focus 123

I mean I change targets either with TAB which cycles on the next closest target or I click them.

Arena123 isn’t for “targeting”, its to cast a spell quickly on someone without having to change your current target. Despite multiple suggestions I’ve never used Arena123 until couple months ago and it really is good, won’t ever go back without it…

It goes like this

Alt+1 - silence arena1
Alt+2 - silence arena2
Alt+3 - silence arena3

Ctrl+1 - stun arena 1
Ctrl+2 - stun arena 2
Ctrl+3 - stun arena 3

Shift+1 - another stun arena 1
Shift+2 - another stun arena 2
Shift+3 - another stun arena 3

If your movement is Q,W,E with no backpedal, you could also do A,S,D instead of 1,2,3
