Need help with N'Zoth

Hey all,

I skipped BfA back in the days and am now catching up on all the content. So I tried running Heroic Ny’alotha this morning, but the final boss keeps one-shotting my level 80 character. Nothing helpful in the combat log - just boom, dead.

I watched some YouTube videos and people are taking him down even on Mythic with no problems. I’m totally confused about why I’m getting destroyed instantly after some time into the fight. Could it be related to the sanity system (which I honestly don’t really understand), maybe I’m overlooking something, or should be wearing a specific item (I’m wearing the legendary cloak already, though)?

Completely stuck here Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

It is. In BfA, a Legendary cloak was introduced which protected you the boss Mind Controlling you instantly.

Even if you get the cloak, you sanity will drain until you get Mind Controlled, that is your enrage timer.

Get the cloak, whack the boss.

You don’t need the cloak anymore, they removed that requirement during Dragonflight so as to make the raid soloable, I’ve solo the whole raid several times myself up to mythic level. I think what may be happening with the o.p. is that their not going through the mind gate part of the fight in time. Iirc, if you don’t go through the mind gate in time, that’s what one shots.
