Need help with skills and action bar

So i saw screenshot of level 100 or 120 players where they had like TONS of different skills on the skill bar.
Now i have a level 87 hunter, and most of the time i use just 3 skills while during dungeons i also use one relic and 2 buff skills.
I also have unused skills like tar bomb or disengage that i pretty much never use

but even with all the unused skills, my vanilla action bar is only half full

so how come there are high level players with custom bars filled with all sort of skills? like way more then what i got?

They probably use a lot of macros.

Also Classic has far less things to use, you need to open your Talents box (Press p) and drag them to the bar, but first of all buy them from the trainer in Classic, you don’t get them automatically like in Retail.

You DON’T USE DISENGAGE?? Disengage with Posthaste talent is the best reason to roll a hunter! (Practice this: turn 180 degrees with the mouse, Disengage, turn 180 degrees , run.)

Reading my hunter’s bars for BM right now

Cobra Shot
Kill Command
Murder of Crows (talent choice)
Barbed Shot
Multi-Shot
Concussive Shot
Intimidation
Counter-Shot
Misdirection
Barrage

are attacks I use all the time

Disengage
Feign Death
Aspect of the Cheetah

are utilities I use all the time

Bestial Wrath
Mend Pet
Dire Beast

I keep on CD

Aspect of the Turtle
Exhilaration
Survival of the Fittest
Spirit Mend

are your basic defensives. Admittedly you don’t need much in the way of defense when levelling with quests.

Then ofc the pet management stuff - call pet, dismiss pet, and so on.

That’s the basic set of abilities I couldn’t play BM without.

And you have most of that by level 90.

Now, what from that list are you not using, and why not?

What are Macros?

also, do you stack mobs or take them one by one?
i so far didnt figured how to stack mobs as a ranged hunter

You talking about retail or Classic?

Macro are lists of commands that happen when you press one button, you usually have to press the button many times. They are a programming language of their own.

There are addons that change the bars and you can add many more bars by pressing escape then into the Interface options and then under action bars.

You can’t stack mobs they attack all at once. Your pet should be tanking them and you use your bow/gun/crossbow to attack.

There are many hunter guides around, a google search will find them. Icy veins isn’t bad.

You can store pets at a Stable master and go out and tame more. Always have one with you.
