I wish to order the Elemental Lariat necklace from a crafter through the crafting order system and I want it to be the highest ilvl as possible but I’m unsure on how to do this. The mats for this necklace are:
1x Spark of Ingenuity (I can provide)
30x Primal Chaos (I can provide)
2x Shimmering Clasp (I can provide)
1x Illimited Diamond (I can provide)
1x Elemental Harmony (I can provide)
Optional:
1x Missive (I can provide)
1x (Concentrated) Primal Infusion (I can NOT provide)
Questions:
If I want the highest ilvl possible, do I need to provide all materials in gold quality for that?
What happens if I provide one material in silver quality and the other in gold quality?
Because I cannot provide (Concentrated) Primal Infusion, does it mean it cannot go higher than ilvl 389 or so?
Public orders apparently don’t allow to ask for a specific item quality. Suppose I make a public order and provide all the ingredients, including a (Concentrated) Primal Infusion, in gold quality, am I at risk of getting a lower quality item (like ilvl 389) because I cannot set required item quality?
The higher the quality of the ingredients, the better the chance of a higher craft. To get max level the crafter usually needs an inspiration proc but ones that have specialised into a lariat normally have about a 1 in 3 chance of it being max level. If it doesn’t proc they will recraft but free (you place a recraft order) with vastly reduced material costs.
If you’re on a big server most crafters have an auto whisper back saying what quality the ingredients should be. The only one that will be properly expensive is the illimited diamond (don’t use higher than an r2 for that)
If you cannot provide an infusion it will craft at the base level with a bump in ilevel for quality (so no infusion 384 base level but it shouldn’t be lowest quality so closer to 389)
If you can provide a primal infusion it will craft at minimum 402, a concentrated one minimum of 408. You can provide a primal infusion now and then later a concentrated one with a recraft.
Don’t go public order, it could be any ilevel and you’re likely to have a crafter with poor skill jump on it as a way to skill up. Private orders I don’t think you can specify max quality because they can’t guarantee it (weird system) so normally you specify 4* quality.
I should also note the other weirdness with the lariat. You’ll need to buy a 2* and a 3* tiered medallion setting and apply them to add extra gem slots. First the 2* then the 3* - very un-intuitive.
