Need suggestions for addons for mythic + ,questing and casual bg

i had some addons before but i bought a new gaming laptop and previous ones got lost in the external hard disk .
now i need suggestions for which addons to use .i will be doing quests ,dungeons , mythic plus when i have better armor and casual bg.
also i mainly do dps but i will try out a healer too . any addons that can make life easier for a healer? so that i can heal team mates in mythic and bg ?

I am using these addons for my MW monk, Disc/holy priest and resto druid:

You can use ElvUI’s frames instead of Grid2 with clique, but Grid2 has better support for buffs/debuffs (imo). And if you dont like custom UI’s and want to go with Blizz, try out Healbot instead. It’s simple.

  • Mapster, makes the world map smaller and resizable so that you can use your UI without having to close the map.

  • Tomtom, places an arrow which points to objectives such as quests, or when you want to fly to a location with your mount without going off course.

  • Method dungeon tools, you can plan mythic+ routes with this.

  • Deadly boss mods PvP timers, shows the timers on various battleground objectives.

  • Healers have to die, shows a marker above enemy player healers so it’s easier to spot them.

  • Healbot or Vuhdo, for healing. Highly configurable. It’s pretty difficult to heal without an addon like this, although some can do it.

Raiderio should be standard so gonna assume you have it

The only one you REALLY need IMO is MDT.

I mean DBM is irrelevant at this stage, you really should know all instances and raids inside out by now.

UI modifiers are totally dependent on the player, some people like them, some don’t

There are a few WAs that may be useful to your class/specc so there’s that I guess.

I haven’t found a good use for it neither as healer, nor as DPS. Sure, sometimes people link the route, but… I’ll just follow the tank. If I need to do something special, they will tell me anyway, I don’t need to look at the route.

It’s great as a tank though. It can be of use for other roles as well, but I do not feel it is anywhere near mandatory.

I’d much rather suggest to have DBM/BigWigs+LittleWigs than MDT. The timers are much more helpful than the route which the tank will guide the group through anyway.

I mean, sure, I know what abilities each and every mob and boss have, but it helps if I see a timer ahead of time. That much less to keep in mind.

As ever YMMV. I usually tank so communicating the route beforehand is useful specially with “helpful” pugs who pull for me.

I have found DBM more intrusive than helpful which is why I usually have it not loaded.

I’m sure I’m not the norm, so just giving my opinion on what works for me.

I have a leave group button for those situations :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not a big fan of DBM either, which is why I’m using BigWigs+LittleWigs with a WeakAura: https://wago.io/o2Ld3Zz7U/1 - that makes it even nicer, a single bar I placed beside my party frames which I’m looking at all the time as a healer anyway.

Tongue in cheek comment I know. I just taunt anything that moves towards anyone that’s not me. I’ll probably curse them, but they know, I know they do, but don’t get to hear it.
