Need tips for mythic plus .first timer

hi there peeps . so all my life i have played mostly pvp and now i am thinking about starting to do pve hardcore content like mythic plus and raids in wow . can i get some tips or a place with helpful video guides to learn to do them easily ?
i mostly do rogue or paladins dps roles .

First and foremost, familiarise the affixes with what they do and how to adjust accordingly.

Know all mechanics of dungeons.

You can easily pug up to +12, beyond that people will be using R.io as though it’s Gospel so get your runs with Guildies for +15. People doing “Chill / Weekly” run often are more lax on who they bring though.

For M+ that is challenging for your ilvl bring a Flask and some food.

To be honest, you really dont need to know much for lower keys.

You need according itemlevel, like 420 or 430 for your first +2 +3 keys, but that is all.

The affixes are all very self explationary (cause you can just mouse over them at any time) and the Dungeons are 90% the same unless Teeming (more trash mobs) affix is in or you are doing a 10+ key, which adds the current season affix with those N’Zoth Pillars that spawn mini-bosses.

Fatboss guides on Youtube are a safe start for the basics of the dungeons and raids. Channel FatbossTV https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxPdH3tv8zuGDBBKCEwruGQ

You may find Method Dungeon Tools addon useful when learning the outlines of the dungeons https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/method-dungeon-tools

Icy Veins have a good series of basic guides for each spec:

and a basic intro to affixes

But you’re not gud.

Famed Slayers are gud.

Multi-glads are gud (well, at least some of them).

MDI invitees are gud.

The rest of us are bad.

Join a m+ community. I would if you have two monitors watch guides on bosses as you come to them (but don’t do what I did in shrine and auto-walk off the bridge before the penultimate boss :P).

General rule of m+:

  • Don’t stand in stuff
  • If they’re casting a spell, don’t stand in front
  • Tricks pulls so you don’t get aggro
  • Either: Kick everything OR don’t kick until you see someone else kick, then kick everything
  • Follow the tank

Once you follow those rules, you’ll learn enough to then find out which of those rules are actually wrong (e.g. priority kicks, what you stand in/stand out of, etc).’

I would start at lower affixes so you can familiarise bosses although if you have like 470+ ilvl in a group, 10s or so are trivial but will help you to learn.

Anyway, m+ community is the best option. YOu will learn a lot and they wont be mad at you for doing dumb things or dying constantly.

Sigh, quality of your posts dropped significally in last time, dunno why.

OP is asking for tools to git gud already, if someone asks how to use google search don’t tell him to search on google how to do that.

You could also try and join one of the communities out there that do M+ in a friendly setting to familiarize yourself with the affixes and dungeons a bit before you start pushing keys.
I don’t have the links, but you might find some when you google on calm keystones for instance.
Good luck and have fun out there

edit: Nexintus beat me to it

Since when did my posts have quality

Fair enough  but you were more user friendly, like Windows 10 in contrast to Millenium.

Here is everything you need to know.

Step 1. Know the tactics to each dungeon you’re going into and what is important to interrupt. Use your utility.

Step 2. Arguably the MOST IMPORTANT step have level 3 twilight devastation for anything above +12

Step 3. Profit.

I prefer ‘the rest of us are varying degrees of okay’, there are always some who are bad but often that is from a lack of understanding of what they are supposed to be doing. M plus is ever changing and the priorities can change weekly.

Hello, new person! Welcome to Teh Internetz!

Pro Tip: There are only two degrees of everything. It’s either “gud, epic, great”, or “bad, horrible, terrible”.

HTH. HAND.
