WOTLK wasn’t even remotely as balanced as the game is now. Remember immortal DKs? Remember Shadowmourne? Remember Icy Touch spam with the right gear? Remember Frost Strike with the right gear?

Lol, in WOTLK you could get 6k crits with Shadowmourne, which I guess is about 20-25% of a Wrathful player’s hp. In BFA you can take 50% of someone’s HP on certain classes.
on Warmane the ladder is full of Rogues, Priests and Mages. 2h classes are a minority.

No it’s not. Aside from that, the gameplay had a high skill cap so you could actually win games by playing better than your enemy, oh and fun class design

Shaman can’t even use Shadowmourne.
The highest ranked class that can use SHadowmourne is #16 in the 2v2 ladder.
So no warriors/DKs/Paladins in Top 15.
For 3v3 there’s 6 Warriors in Top 15.
I won’t bother counting the Rogues/Mages/Locks/Priests but there’s way more of those. Shadowmourne ain’t as OP as people claim. All the damage in the world can’t do s hit when you’re up against heavy control comps that also do a sh itton of damage.
idk what ladder ur looking at but blackrock / icecrown has more warriors, palas, shamans on it than i care to count (both brackets)
But they can heal Shadowmourne wielders.
So can every other healer… ?
who even gave a ret paladin a shadowmourne, that thing was basically priority dk/warrior, they were just better at wielding it, paladins could take their val’anyr so no point wasting a second legendary on a class that already got one.
also, palad/dk/warrior is only high up because that is a fairly standard combo for all the years, not just wotlk, it is a combo centred around making the enemy panic fail through sheer pressure.
I’d rather play a terribly balanced game with high skillcap, many abilities and good class design like in MoP than a well balanced BfA or Legion.
