Lots of posts on here to ‘nerf warriors’, ‘nerf dh’, ‘nerf feral’, etc etc.
Everything does need nerfing. The damage is ridiculous at the moment. Dying in a global or two, through mulitple defensives to 1 player.
Blizzards idea of balancing PvP is to make every class and spec be absurd, and for players to just run in and dps race, with no set up.
PvP is in such a bad state at the moment, there will be some players enjoying it, but the shear numbers of lost subs and how dead the game is, that should tell you something. The only people still playing are those who are too addicted to quit and are holding out hope.
But where do we go from here? Sure, everyone could just quit and unsub because Blizzard don’t listen. But then the game will have no funding to get better. I fear its too little too late.
Hope is almost lost. The only changes that are happening are damage buffs to ‘under performing specs’. They’re only under performing because other specs are insane. Those insane specs need nerfing. There needs to be a fine balance, not just up everyone’s damage until everyone can kill in global or two. If they’re going to go this deadly route, they need to buff healers and defensives so the global one shots can at least be countered.
After 16 years I’ve never seen WoW PvP in such a poor state. The updates getting made are like they’re polishing a turd.

they wont be able to fix anything aslong as they dont buff/nerf pvp and pve seperately
every first week of a season they buff something for raid and it becomes insane in arena, unhealable
why is this? because they are lazy americans

It’s actually unplayable for people playing something else than double melee cleave rsham.
You just die through everything and people trinket instantly your peels to continue to cheese the guy they decided to tunnel the while game.
2s is rsham/mêlée all the time, so you die through the unheable dmg.
I didn’t even fought a single caster comp in around 70 games played this week except few mage/rogue in 2s and 1 lock/druid in 2s.
This xpac reward even more terrible player than bfa s4, didn’t expect this to be possible tbh.

healing reduction (off “mortal strike”) should also be removed ez
thats pretty much the only thing i agree on with you. Dmg is too high and could be a little bit lower.
if you use defensives early enough you are not dying through multiple defensives.

i mean game was way worse literally a bit than a year ago in BFA so you are either delusional or have a very short memory lol
i play shadowpriest and have to disagree. i actually prefer melee meta over double caster MLD dampy meta even though i agree all you face are melee cleaves it gets boring after some time haha
they can nerf crit in pvp for damage and healing, would fix some stuff
Its because people get outplayed, nerf every class except the one i play and if you nerf the class i play blizzard is stupid and dont know what they are doing and i unsub

Setup comp is really rough, you just die through everything and it happens to high rated player too.
Don’t think it’s a coincidence even if for sure we do mistake.
Tbh i liked late-Cata design of PvP, pace of the game was relatively fast but TTK (time to kill) was pretty long.

rmp, sp mage, jungle, sp rogue all are really strong right now for example.
For sure that’s why pikaboo die vs every kind of comp and they don’t play 3s anymore.
If you don’t have any os button in your team there is almost no way to win except if people are really dumb.

I think people tend to forget that a season lasts for several months, and the initial tuning (including whatever mistakes may happen in favor of class performance in pve) usually happens with a more endgame level of gearing in mind.
Right now we’re 5 or 6 weeks into the season, fully gearing a character with bis conquest gear can take anywhere from 3 to 5 months depending on vault rng, capping efforts, etc, and during that process games should, in theory at least, get progressively slower till we reach the dreaded gigadamp wizard meta every season (at least in my limited experience) seems to conclude in. All that being said, unless biweekly or monthly tunings were to be implented, the game will probably always feel slightly off, whether it is towards too aggro or towards too damp, and the people that are currently asking for damage nerfs 1 month into the season are going to be the same people that ask for damage buffs in 5 months.

Nah it doesn’t work like that ever, the most gear you got abd the most absurd dmg you get in the end.
That’s why people cry every season cause if it’s trash at the beginning, the more it will be sketchy in the end with renown/vers and other random modifier that increase the absurd dmg even more.
When you watch stream and see people killing other and they don’t even know what happened there is more than a tiny problem.

idk about pikaboo but there are alot of rogues in both NA and EU top ladder. sp fire rdruid is propaply the best comb in the game and setup based. Rmp also.
which spec doesnt have any “oh sh it buttons”?
if you are still having problems with mindgames this late into the expansion then idk.
it does like 6k dmg on 50k hp pools and needs to be casted.
necro sp is way better for most combs .

yes mindgames is so bad that 95% of holy/disc and 75% of shadow priests play venthyr just because of it. duh

never said its bad but its definitely not “press mindgames and collect points lololol”. its far from overpowered.
i have a necro and a venthyr sp and necro is way better outside of combs like sp fire x or sp lock x. Nobody wants to reroll and farm 55 renown again when venthyr is good too haha.
On healer of course venthyr is still the best in 90% of the time.

For sure it’s doable but you have to play out of your mind every game while your opponent just trinket randomly or triple Dr stun you and still win because they got insane dmg.
What’s the point to play a harder and weak comp when you can just run double melee/rsham and collect point while doing nothing.
When you are stuck like majority of people in lfg there is no way and it increase the frustration.
while i agree with you that was the case in almost every season. Double melee x is easier to play than setup based combs.
but dmg is so high you can literally stun dps silence healer and combust and kill people from 100 to 0 and spam sheep inbetween haha
especially as assa rmp you can 100 to 0 people in every kidnes easily without super long cc chains
i know its harder than two melees tunneling one target but in the end you need to win against all the other 2 melee teams too in order to climb.
ye dont play setup based combs without voice. its a bad experience.
