Nerf Felstriker NOW!

You “fixed” fury warr fiery enchant, you changed gargoyle, you changed flame caps now change felstriker and titansteel spellblade.

Rogues doing 30k dps pressing one button just because this old world weapon still works over level 60 is just absolutely stupid.

Felstriker/spellblade changes are long overdue

did they nerf the sword from Scholomance?
The one that silences for 4 seconds or something on hit?

Older items shouldnt be relevant in “new” expansions.

Is Felstriker really OP? Cause a rogue in one of the nax25s I did was doing 30k without one and pulled 45k on a large pull wearing a Titansteel Spellblade and a Venerable Mass of McGowan.
I don’t know which would be better and why, I never play rogue.

Edit: Oh maybe he did have a Felstriker and swapped when it procced?

That’s the retail spirit, always using borrowed power and everything becoming completely irrelevant when the next expac drops.

Do they use it on bosses and is it worth it? Otherwise just let them have their fun & speed up the boring trash in raids.

Yes, the weapons with silence procs were nerfed after the first season of tbc iirc. Same time they removed engi belt in arena

It was after season 2 actually

Mind Quickening Gem now provides 10% Haste Rating (was 33%).

Starting with Season 3, the following items won’t be allowed inside Arenas:

    Nigh-Invulnerability Belt

    Net-o-Matic Projector

    Dazzling Longsword

    Silent Fang

    Skull of Impending Doom

Well even tho it is not a boss weapon but for trash it is massive. Specially in Ulduar with the large amount of trash.

But tbh i dont care about it.

Thats not a bug or it’s not something that not from Classic WoW, nothing to fix. You can go on private server and play like that, thats simply how item work originally
Blizzard never nerf like that, cuz literally all work how it should

Imagine thinking felstriker is the reason why rogues do high aoe damage.

You can remove it from the game and rogues damage on aoe barely will change.

You are correct with the spellblade. It is the main reason togheter with there not being a 10 target cap like other casters have.

Really sucks as a fire mage when your lb’s don’t go off because you got 2 goofy rogue smooth brains doing 40k DPS on trash

I’m pretty sure you don’t need felstriker to top aoe dps as a rogue. Seen rogues do it with that mace from tbc. It’s not that weapons are broken and need fixing, it’s just that people found a way to regen a ton of energy so you can just spam fan of knives.

Why are people so angry at “Clever use of game mechanics”

Is it because you can’t stay competative unless you conform to these weird tactics as well?

I’d be happy with rogues that did mass dps on trash, Stuff dying faster is a good thing

They should have made all previous expansions items to be “has reduced effect beyond XY level” … same like they did with enchants or some consumables like thistle tea …

Carefull what you wish for. Aoe Cap adjust for SoC can be next

They should have made all previous expansions items to be “works on all levels and scales with AP/SP” would be really fun, rotating many trinkets and many crazy builds. Expansion should expand current world not make all previous useless

That would be hella cool, but its blizz we are talking here about xD

I’m back in 2007! The nostalgia is palpable.

Furious, ranty nerf posts with the word NOW included in caps was a common sight back then, but this is the first one I’ve ever seen for Classic. You’re a trailblazer.

In Vanilla and partially TBC, using outdated weird items is fun. But I kinda agree with the OP that it feels out of place in WotLK. Why did they make Valanir not enh BiS but keep stuff like this? I’m pretty sure it’ll get nerfed once it’s discovered by the intern responsible for Classic.

Not really a fan of nonsense like Rod and Stormshroud still being at full effectiveness while things like Feral Druid T4 is nerfed above level 70 etc.

Selective treatment is always a feelsbad.
