Hand of Freedom should help you, get clos enough to start throwing your Hammers at 30 Yards range, Mr. Melee man. 
It is nerfed now, every other classes make 3-5 x more dmg on the BG

e’s always a minimum of 2 purges per arena joined, freedom doesnt last longer than 1 second. Dont be a clown.

Uhm, out of all the classes I have been leveling, I thought shadow priest would be the worst, but frost Mage once you leave lvl 70-73, the frost mage specc becomes a joke… if anything it needs a buff…
Love it when you mages are all high and mighty in these forums when you’re at the top, but as soon as someone gets ahead of you then the forums is flooded with your tears. Mage wins every awc and mdi every year. To be called blizzards little pets would be underestimating you.
I never stated that mage is neither strong, nor Blizzards pet, but it has been like this forever, with some small ups and down, but we all know how RMP is just THE Staple comp for PvP, so why act like it’s something that is a first time?
You either reroll or you just suffer and pray for Blizzard to atleast look at PvP Balance once during the entire expansion and i’m pretty sure, you know how often Blizzard seriously looks a PvP Balance in recent times.
You as a Paladin yourself, you should know how a simple rework can change a spec into a insane Powerhouse and how little thought went into the Rework for the PvP Aspect and this is exactly the same case with Mage right now and there Hero Talents.

I think Frost Mage is 100% the easiest caster in the game to level 70-80.
That’s just my own personal experience anyway.
