Nerf modifiers, buff baseline spells

How many times does this need being said.

My flash of light goes from tickling someone’s health to lay on hands based on how many modifiers I stacked.

This is terrible game design.

I agree.
It makes our abilities feel very unimpactful, and the “rotation” feels like a choir because you’re trying to make the stars align.

And since you CAN make the stars align, this also leads to huge damage spikes and random one shots in PvP situations. We’ve been seeing those with Arcane Mages and MM Hunters lately.

Remove Chi Harmony from the game.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but more than half of the talent nodes need to be replaced by boring passive “Increase potency of “spell” by X%” nodes

Yep. Modifiers need to go.
Having ton crap of passives that buff your abilities is not healthy for the game.
And this is the reason you see some of the big hitting things happening.

also having 10 000 spells in spellbok is also not healthy

Even easier: just go back to MoP style talent trees.

Fewer choices, but each one was meaningful.

I don’t mind choice. The problem is that the talents that buff spells passively are too strong. Why must there exist 6-7 nodes that buff flash of light by anywhere from 15-50%.

so you wanna just spam 1 spell like in the past? that was basically what your suggesting means.

You sure your name is not “Trollerysa”?

How did you come to that conclusion.

It’s still 1 button, but depending on how many modifiers I stacked, it will either tickle or full heal them.

having modifiers and moments in our rotation where X is better than Y is what gives us a rotation. if x was always strong we would press mostly X. (the past)

Well, I don’t really prioritize Flash of Light until I get an infusion of light proc, which makes it instant cast. So the priority list is already there, the problem is that it’s too strong compared to just casting it without the proc.

No because X maybe has a cooldown, maybe it requires combo points or something similar, or maybe it has a high mana cost and must be used wisely.

There are a lot of ways to avoid spammy class design without having to stack a handful of modifiers on every ability.

Exactly, so many variables go into play. Not sure how he boils it down to “rotation” only.
