They are very strong

They are not strong enough!

Not saying this to troll, but come on, a paladin with 30 item levels lower can match the AOE output of a Destruction Warlock.

A Warrior with similar item level and the right trinkets will always be on top.

This idea that warlocks are top is myth.

People say “that’s top” so then more people play it… so then it appears on logs to be true. Just isn’t so.

Rain of Fire needs buffing.
Immolate needs serious buffing so that Cataclysm will do as much damage as Rain of Fire for scenarios where the tank won’t keep the mobs in the Rain of Fire.

Channel Demonfire is a limp noodle.

Soulfire isn’t even worth being mentioned it does so little damage. Which means our talents are dictated to us and we simply have no choice in which ones to take.

Warlocks need a lot of spells to be buffed by a lot.

And with all that said, if I play a warlock or not, then I expect Destruction Warlock to always be on the top of the DPS meter. Even when I play one of my tanks, I would like to get a Destruction Warlock into the group and would expect it to be top Damage.
