Here some small hints, targetting common problems in LFR, normal and some heroic PuGs. Maybe someone will find them useful:
General
- There are bosses with heal absorbs (bloodbound horror, ovi’nax). Some raid frames don’t show them by default. Seeing them properly as a healer can make the difference between a wonky kill and and a smooth ride. “Cell” for example can show them in a nice way.
Ovi’nax
- The ONLY goal of opening eggs (with the circle) is to prevent the black blood to reach them. There are 3 egg phases per corner. Opening eggs in a corner without black blood is not just pointless, but also swarms the raid with completely unnecessary adds.
Ky’veza
- The new void zones will be where the charges end. Let people targetted by red arrows turn the arrow to the (same) side (lets say, clockwise). This avoids void zones in the middle.
The Silken Court
- Assign TWO pairs of people for webs in PuGs. You only need one working web, but it’s about risk reduction.
- Never done webs? You and another person move into the same gray circle. Use “ping” to communicate (you won’t locate people with raid markers in all the visual noise). When both are inside the same circle, move through the middle and you got the web.
- Big Boom / Stinging Swarm: The debuff jumps to THE CLOSEST UNIT, not the boss (like in LFR). After Takazj pulled all players in, keep the center completely free. No healers, no tanks, nobody (without swarm). If you have Stinging Swarm, run to the center of the room. Literally the center, not just “somewhere near”. If you have any mass dispel (any priest) or revival (mistweaver) in the group, throw that in the last second of the “Big Boom” cast as a backup.
Queen
- Use BigWigs. Manually enable a vocal countdown for “Venom Nova”. If assigned, run into the green puddle, when the voice says “one” (or slightly after).
