Nerubian Gemweaver doesn't work for PVP items

I bought the “Nerubian Gemweaver” from the “Algari Token of Merit” Exchange vendor and I can’t use it to socket PVP items (Honor/Bloody Tokens/Conquest gear). The details of the “Nerubian Gemweaver” doesn’t say anything of such limitation. I was scammed by the lack of description and I can’t use this item and I also can’t refund it to the vendor.

Item description:

Use: Add a socket to a War Within Season 1 item that does not already have one. Can be used on Helms, Bracers, or Belts.

This is the ticket response I got:

Hello Tortillidan,

There is some very understandable confusion regarding this, but it’s actually working correctly and this is intended to not be usable on PvP items.

Rather the equivalent PvP version would be the Vicious Jeweler’s Setting.

The tooltip should be updated in 11.0.5 for the gemweaver to help clarify this.

Unfortunately Customer Support wouldn’t be able to help refund it, but I hope you’ll still be able to find use for it on an eligible item!

It does not work for PvE items either, I bought one today to apply to my very much PvE helm and it will not let me…

I previous seasons, having a tertiary stat was separate from gemslots, did they change this or are tierset helmets also excluded?

any chance this item gets fixed in a near future hotfix? It’s quite inconvenient as it is now since it no longer goes onto rings anymore either, the wasted currency really hurts.
