It’s obvious and has been stated, it’s a recent change and they haven’t gotten around to removing the pet as it’s unobtainable.
Blizzard are known for dragging their heels on things like this. Some stuff removed in Cataclysm is still there.

OK, but is habit really a mitigating factor?
I’m thinking how that would play in a different context, in court:
“Yeronner, Yes, my client may have robbed the bank, but my client is known for robbing banks. He was convicted of robbing banks back in Cataclysm.”
I’m not sure that leads to an acquittal.
You are probably right that Blizzard won’t relent on this, and I have no doubt they have the legals sewn up, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t take a little forum heat for it.

No, but I think we all need to be a bit of masochists to have sticked with Blizzard until now. We know stuff like this will happen.
