Network connection drops after 10 minutes of play

Hello!
I have a very odd technical issue. I play a lot of online games and never had this issue before. But now when I installed WoW a week ago and started to play I will lose my network connection after about 10 minutes of online play for a couple of seconds, enough for a disconnect. I can sometimes see a small window from battle.net app pops up and loads during this time, then disappears and it’s fine for another 10 minutes. This does not happen under any other circumstance, on any other online game and has not happened before. I played WoW like 7 months ago without any problems. What’s weird is that it only happens when playing Blizzard games (it happened when i tested Diablo 2R) so I suspect this has something to do with how Blizzard games talk to my router or something with the Battle.net app. League, Dune, Last Epoch etc works fine.

I can confirm it’s an issue with either my computers ethernet or the router because using mobile internet via Bluetooth works flawless.

I did a ping loop to both google and my gateway and I drop both for exactly 5 pings. So my computer actually loses network connection, not only internet.

I have:
Reinstalled WoW, reinstalled Battle.net, reinstalled LAN and GPU drivers, disabled all addons, turned down graphics, turned off energy saving on my ethernet, changed duplex to full/back to auto, disable/enable IPv6 ingame and on ethernet, flushed DNS, changed to run as admin, resetted the router to factory settings and did power cycling, checked firmware, changed Ethernet cable, did virus scans, tested playing without firewall or antivirus, and checked about 50 different scenarios online for any potential solution but I’m at a total loss.

Only thing left is to reinstall Windows?

What connection type you have?

I had similar issues with VDSL2 connection (for the building as the building lacks ethernet cabling) which was likely caused by poor quality of wiring. Random drops from few packets to 5-10 at most, enough for some games to drop connection entirely and web browsing to be slow if the drops happened when opening a web page.

Fix by the ISP was to switch entire building to use coaxial cable (aka “cable tv”) which seems stable so far.

Try different router/gateway.

Thanks for the reply. I have Arris NVG468Q router, bridged with a Google Nest Wifi because my ISP wants to push people to only use Wifi.
I use cat6 cable between computer and Arris router, my computer has Intel Ethernet (7) I-219V.

I’ve tried with a wifi adapter, no issue, and mobile connection, no issue, so the problem must be the ethernet connection. I don’t know if its my NIC or the router though, cant really afford to go buy another NIC.

Seems so weird as it only happens playing Wow and D2R, no other game.
