Hi
I just bought Dell 144 hz monitor and AMD Radeon Rog strix 5500 xt 8gb. I am first time using 144hz monitor. My frame rate is excelent. But i think the game is too sharp, don’t know how to explain . Is there some special monitor calibration for wow or i am just tripin ?
Might be the difference between 60 and 144hz as well as the lower response time of your new display.
The combination of both makes it possible to see a sharp image while moving or turning the camera etc.
Does your new monitor have a higher resolution?
Anyways… you will get used to it
The resolution is 1920 x 1080 (HD 1080) and response time 1ms. Like i said maybe i am just trippin, because i have never used 144z monitor before And now is everything realy sharp and full of details. Do not knor realy
But why is that a bad thing?
yeah everything should look sharper on a 144hz monitor the increased refresh rate means less blurring and sharper images when the camera is moving fast.
which monitor did you get btw?
Their is also an option in the AMD driver called Radeon image sharpening if you have that enabled you could always try disabling it or enabling it if you haven’t tried it before
If you a rent sure how to find it go to your driver hub then gaming tab then the global graphics tab.
I have dell s2419hgf. Hmm i tryed that option but i think nothingh hapens
Going from 60 to 144hz (with an appropriate framerate) is indeed a pretty notable change in “crispness”, for lack of a better word. There are a ton of very subjective and even biologically determined factors in what makes an image on the screen look “good”, and we are pre-disposed to enjoy whats familiar - so it may take a little bit for this to feel natural.
Yes, i heard that from my friend today. I need some time to adapt to better enviroment. I have been blured all the time
Just hang a sheet of vaseline smeared glass in front of your monitor, that should fix your issue.
Or just turn down the resolution scaling
