does anyone know of a way to stop the new action bar animation i really dont like it lol
any help would be appreciated.

Yeah I really thought it was weird when I logged in today and started playing. If there’s no way to get rid of it I’m crossing my fingers that I get used to it quickly.

Ah, that does kind of limit your ability to search, yes.
But i’d start there, i assume you’re talking about the cast-time overlays on your skill icons? That’s the sort of thing they’d put under “Interface”.
once you get used to it, it’s a good addition for it tells you which spells are being casted and how right from the action bars.
stop resisting changes every single time.

I reckon they took the servers down in order to give you this as an option. They’re currently coding furiously to add this into the Inferface section of the menu. Only reason I can think for them to bring down the servers in the middle of the day.

Be careful with this, I did post about new micro menu bar being super ugly and litter, and they flagged and removed my post just for asking to give me freedom of choice. These fragile egos devs or community members idk what nerds exactly did this but they cant tolerate anyone who is not okay with new changes.

It could also be to do something about the utter lagfest that is those time rift things, i completed it on my alt but didn’t get credit, i’ll try again when Blizz gets things to work properly.
I played a bit with it before things went offline. It’s useful, honestly. I rather like it - in some ways it can make the cast bar redundant (depending on how visible your castable skills are on your screen).
It’s definitely a good change, the visual feedback is useful.
Now if only they wouldn’t have made the menu bar stupidly large again…

I like new animations but agree w/ menu bar, it’s too big for no reason.
yeah, this will likely being overlaying my Action Bar now. I use a single Action Bar at the bottom, similar to traditional default UI. Don’t think there was much room there for the menu bar to grow without it overlapping. I’d pretty much stopped using the menu bar anyhow as it was too fiddly (probably why this grew it again) but I’m used to the keys now.
Just went out and did a WQ just to test new action bars. Don’t mind it. Don’t distract me.
The larger menu bar goes in under my Action Bar which isn’t ideal but as I’ve been used to not really using it recently I think I’ll just leave it as is.
