I’m not a big fan of this retail’ish auction house, but Classic AH - without stupid addons - was much worse.
Especially when dumb players put single pieces of whatever on sale instead of the full stack. Yes, addons could help you with that problem but that’s not classic then!
This retail auction house makes it so much simpler to buy whatever you need.
Filtering for level and quality is not hard, it’s hidden behind a single menu called - filter - I know gamers are stupid, but from what I’ve seen on these forums, stupid really isn’t enough…
I’ve seen people on US forum cry about having bought multiple pieces with random enchants. Yet it clearly informs you to look at the individual tooltip, aka. the tooltip of the listing you’re buying or bidding on.
Granted, item groups like “… of the Monkey” or “… of the Undertow” shouldn’t be of varying enchants, and it is a bit annoying it doesn’t show the stats before you click the item and hover the individual listings.
But it’s not like the Classic AH was any better at filtering and showing items with specific stats.
Crying that the classic AH was better seems like stupid nostalgia, but that doesn’t mean this modern AU isn’t without its own issues and annoyances.
I guess it’s a matter of getting used to, like everything else. But I’m actually confused af how to sell things currently. Never seen this iteration of AH before.
Honestly, can’t see why this had to change. I got by with the classic AH just fine, with all its flaws. And people who didn’t like that used addons anyway.
