New alts aren't getting any rested exp

I made a few new alts, but none of them are getting any rested exp when they are inside inns and capital cities. I have run in and out and logged many times. The exp bar is still purple and it says I’m not rested. Has this happened to anyone else? They are all level 1-3. No addons.

You will have to wait at least a few hours to get it.

Found on Icy Veins about it: “Rested XP is gained at a rate of 5% per 8 hours when you are in a Capital City or Inn. If you are outside one of these locations, it is gained at a rate of 1.25% per 8 hours.”

Okay that’s weird. My alts that start at level 10 got rested almost immediately when entering a rested zone. But my level 1s apparently need to wait for over an hour before they start getting it. Must be some scaling thing.

Leveling from 1 to 10 is incredibly fast, why do you need rested exp?

I’d guess that it was just a general observation and not that they need it to get to level 10 lol
