New Blizzard Leaks

Well to make it short Blizzard former Employee got fired, and decided to Leak information. (I will include source at the end)

I will quote some key points, mostly about blizzard/WoW, if you wish to learn more you can read full source

Quoting:

-The mood across the whole company is bad. SC2 is dead, Diablo 3 is dead, overwatch - despite most of the office saying sacrificing our casual audience to chase esports money was a bad idea - is shocks dying. hearthstone is being described as ‘in a death spiral’ we’ve had 4 projects cancelled in 3 months and Ions team doesnt want to hear it but Battle for Azeroth is an unmitigated disaster

-anyone who hasnt worked there for at least 15 years got a none negotiable pay cut or the choice to walk. Josh Allen went Berserk. All because papa activision wants to save money

-people begged morheim to stay. Now the sentiment is that he smelled which way the wind was blowing

-A lot of unqualified people, people asking their underlings what to do

-higher ups still think trying to make an esport out of every game thinking Its going to make company/them rich.

-Chris metzen came in for the first time in a long time, he had major surgery on his back or something of the like and that’s why Thrall disappeared for legion, and he left the office looking 5 years older and just depressed

Now about WoW:
Quoting:

-FFXIV is no longer allowed to be mentioned in the offices “we dont allow negativity in the dojo” is a daily mantra now

-They keep saying “its natural ebb and flow, we can weather this storm” as WoW currently has dipped below 1 million subscribers when our biggest competition just announced they broke 1 million at E3, but not in the dojo Shh!!

-Lootcrates were planned but after Belgium were hastily reworked into an ingame reward comming in 8.2 or later

-Level squish being tested for 9.0

-Response to sylvanas is stronger than expected but general sentiment is that players will come around by the end of the expansion

-However negative response to Christie Golden and the Void Lords story seeding has more people worried. BfA is a turning point where we exhaust the rts lore and move onto new content and our reaction from our ‘core heavy users’ is not looking positive

-new expansion lowers cap to 60 and level scales everything like the Elder Scrolls Online

-Vulpera and Mechagnomes are the next Alliance(?) (my edit: I think author meant allied races) races.

-allied race unlocks will now come to the cash shop as a paid unlock after its expnsion ends, starting with the legion allied races in 8.3 and the bfa races in 9.0 ans so on.

-there are two tabled competitors for 10.0 and reaction to the end of BfA is going to heavily impact the final decision on which makes the cut

-the classic team honestly looks like the happiest employees at the company, but there is a growing one sided animosity between the two teams. a “they think they can just replace us?!” paranoia

-Classic is going to dictate who is in charge of 10.0. if the money says one team is clearly the more profitable they get the reigns.

-BC and Wotlk servers are in the works as a part of the “classic trilogy”

These ‘leaks’ were posted on 4chan from anonymous posters. I would take it with a grain of salt.

is good chance its all completly untrue. Some thing may be true but 4chance isnt very credibly source,escpially of anomonys. is just as likly someone makes it all up and 'pretends" to be former blizz employe.

And if its tue and is found they screwed their career forever good chance atleast. as who wants someone who may not be good at their job and then if fired leaks all info.

I mean the BFA part isn’t wrong. We’re still playing either cause of addiction, we didn’t find anything better, friends, or whatever reason we can find.

which part do you think is untrue?
I mean we’ll find out all of it at blizzcon so not much to wait :joy:
funny enough all other games info seems to match past reports/leaks/what we got so yeah, I’d BELIEVE most of it is true.

in other words
“its untrue, but if its true its because people asked for it”

Not even close.
Its complete fiction.
Not true in the slightest.
However there are a group of people that would welcome the idea.

There are a few red flags in the leak, especially the part about not being allowed to mention a competing game. Blizzard has openly praised games that inspired theirs to do better in the past, so that just sounds inconsistent. Besides, Blizzard is very much the “Apple” of the gaming industry, which means that while they might not always innovate, they will try to learn from the industry and perfect ideas that were started by other companies or even indie devs.

To me this whole ‘leak’ reads as a bunch of guesses. Some of them might turn out to be true. However, just because a leak guessed something right does not mean the leak is real.

its not credible leak, has as much chance as all being made completel up as its being true. Is no real proof its true.

So all of it may be untrue and il treat it like that unless confirmed otherwise. most so called leaks are just completly untrue, and a false leak could stll have a corecct thing by pure chance. Its like saying if you give a monkey a type machine it will eventually write the decloration of independance just due pure chance.

I mean, it might not be 100% true, but a lot of it is already true, we’ll find out the rest soon enough, and some of it isnt possible to check.

but point made, believe what you want really. its a leak, you can believe part of it, none of it, or all of it, that’s up to you.
