Oh, my god! This is absolutely completetly joke because you can see now ALL characters from different realms! DONT DO THAT! I only want to see characters fron ONE realm. NOT ALL AT ONCE! REVERT IT NOW!!!

Yeah; I’m not really a fan of the Warbands display anyway (call me old fashioned but I like seeing my Main character on her own screen)
Definitely did not want to see a bunch of characters i’ve not seen from other realms in 10 years … just looks so messy and gross.

Drag everything out of the warband except your main. That’s what I did.

But you get stuck with this horrible Favourites tab that takes up half of the list.
Sure you can minimise it, but next time you go to the character screen, it’s back!

Its very annoying that everytime you log in on a character it prompts an additional loading process (selecting correct realm?) before actually logging in - it seems.
Also very unclear and messy when you’re selecting alts far down the list. Would be very nice if we at least had the option to use old character selection system.

There are many options I miss in the new interface
- Being able to filter by realm
- Being able to filter by a range of levels.
- Being able to filter by faction
- Being able to combine multiple filters, like race plus class, or race plus level
- Being able to hide characters so a forgotten alt from a real you don’t play in years won’t appear. Of course, there should be a UI option to show every character so you can unhide them
- The same but for hiding all characters from a realm
- In some languages like Spanish the level of the character is not visible for some classes with long name, like Demon Hunter and Death Knight
- Why the UI show the character’s gold for some characters but not for others?
Now for the part relating to moving characters in the UI
- For got sake, put an option Move to the Top, Move to Favorites and Move to the Bottom
- Option to short characters from level, realm, and other possibilities
- Allow to resize the character lists, maybe making the text smaller or expand the UI ocuping the whole screen so people with nearly 50 characters can organize easily, with only 4 visible at all times organizing that lists is hell on earth
- Maybe allow multiple configurations of the character lists and be able to switch, so people could have a personalized lists with Horde characeters and another with Alliance characters, or by realm so they can group they characters when they have too much characters.

More easy just change the list after you have change realm. Just like before the change.

Totally agree. The new changes seem to miss some key features that should have been included from day 1. Filters, option to group them by server categories that you can show/hide, custom categories would have been nice so we can group them together however we like and show/hide those categories.

This is just really bad design. I’m sure Blizzard will fix this soon, hopefully… right?

I don’t think it’s much worse at all. It does feel a bit weird, but I’m willing to bet I’ll get used to it in a couple of days.
It functions in almost exactly the same way as before, but with the warband thing added on top, and more features overall.
I do wish we could filter characters by realm, but filters in general are there: you search for a specific class, race, faction, profession, level, zone and there you have it: your characters are now filtered by whatever criteria you needed. Except realms for some reason.
I also wish character names took less space in the list, or that at least the scrolling was a bit smoother, or that we could organise characters without having to drag them around one by one. But these are just aspects on which the new menu doesn’t improve, not at all a step back. They’re the same as before.
It is better (apart from the realm thing), and the fact it could be even better to doesn’t feel like a good reason to treat the thing like a failure. And even the problems are such minor inconveniences really. It took me at most a couple of minutes to organise my characters by level and alphabetical order, and I won’t need to do it ever again.

New character selection screen is horrible, dont have clue what warbands is either but I dont understand why I have to scroll through all of my characters from every realm on one long list of reserved names and the like its just terrible. Old design where you select realm and character under it were better and sensical, I get theyre trying to give us everything in one big list on same selection screen but in practise it just looks dumb if one has reserved names for example.
I think the new spellbook is worse too, it looks too big and impersonal whilst before it was a cozy little book…
Finished dragging around all my alts the way I wanted them finally.
