Itās a shame tho, because they could have created a model which would actually have helped artists. For example a model somewhat like spotify, where you could opt in, provide material and receive payment in exchange. Maybe with a link to your work so that people could see it. This might have helped artists still establishing themselves. It no doubt could have been a force for good with some proper moral qualms and considerations lol.
Stuff like this makes me grumble about the human race
You have had more race revamps in Dragonflight than at any other time in WoW. Everything but old hairstyles was upgraded. All the characters have new textures, etc, because it was necessary for them to have updated aesthetics when introducing the newer customisations. That also includes their actual skeleton, which was also updated when producing alliance races; the Worgen got a complete revamp from the ground up, which was possible because it shared a lot of commonalities with Drackthyr.
Race revamps, like those in WoD, used to be considered an expansion feature, but now theyāre commonplace. They happen every few patches, and thatās to be expected for a team thatās almost 1,000 people strong.
They had a feature that you could switch back to the old style [client side only] but they removed it for some reasonā¦ It also helped people with low end PCs and couldnt match the poly countā¦
If you want better graphiques go and play ESO or FF ,WoW was never about the looks ,to beggin with ,what we do need is good lore ,raids ,creative maps and mechanics. I wouldn t mind some better character customisation but I d rather play without lag and less better looking toons .AI would be good for npcs and stuff ,AI can not create something new as it lacks the spirit which humans do have in order to create something new from scratch ,AI can t ,will always re create something and so on , like I saw this AI movie made for Arthas(LK) ,and guess what ,he started to look like the witcher at some point
Them laying off 22000 employees is not important, what matters is who got laid off. For example Elon fired extreme leftist activists from twitter and now X is much better than it used to be. If they fired useless employees the number doesnāt matter.
I mean they couldnāt create something good in last 7-8 years, it is always failure after failure. Most of the sales were done thanks to their credits coming from the past but they lose customers by time.
I for example said āI will wait 6 months to buy diablo4, if it is still not a fiasco after 6 months Iāll buy it, first you guys go and beta test it, hehhehā and you know the resultā¦
