New Christmas Laptop advice

Hey everyone,

I am about to get myself a new laptop for xmas. I have already decided for Alienware, I know they‘re kind of overpriced but I just like the looks and it‘s within my budget so.

However I have a couple of questions that I need your advice on:
I plan on getting the m17 r3 with an i7 10750H and the RTX2080 Super.
I will both work on it and play mainly WoW. My main question revolved around the cpu: will that config work for WoW? I read a lot about the cpu heavyness of the game and so I wasn‘t sure if the i9 would be a better fit. But then again: I have 0 clue when it comes to cpus and gpus, that‘s why I need your advice.

There is also a configuration with an i9 10980HK and a 2070 Super that I‘d take anyday but the laptop is only available in white (and I try to avoid that colour).

So what are your thoughts on these configurations and their ability to run WoW properly? The display is only FHD anyway.

it’ll run well on that. assuming your work is less demanding than wow, you’d be better served by the 2080/i7 one i think. 6 cores is quite good for gaming right now, and by the time it’s not i think you’ll be looking at new laptops anyway.
