i dont wanna be redundant but they arent able to balance old classes… a support role could be an hell for devs.
You should try bard in videogames. Isnt bad :wink:

As much as I would love some support classes I think they can build support abilities/talents into current specs/classes, for example you could give all shamans the Torghast power that causes healing stream totem to sometimes chain heal.

Bards exsists in many forms. My favorite bardclass is from Everquest 1
They have healing songs, damage songs and the fastest movementspeed is granted by bards.
The class were awesome!
I also love my ff14 bard but it’s less fun and bardlike then the Everquest 1 type.
Even would work with 3specs healing, damage and maybe tank? They wore mail in Everquest 1
If wow were to go for a bard something similar to the Everquest 1 would work best i think.

Meh… not sold on the idea of bards in WoW. I only love bards in FFXIV because I can play my favorite rock songs in Limsa.

We are already getting a new class in Dragonflight, i doubt another would show up.

Bard and Tinker is used heavily in roleplay tho, thanks to TRP3 addon.

the night fae harp always comes in handy. its easy to get too.

A support class just wont work in wow. Look how people react to PI it will just be the same with a bard but even worde.

Power Infusion caused a cascade of tears, now imagine a class with 10x more tools like PI

I played a Bard in LotRO and it was great. I think as long as it’s fun, which will always be subjective, it’s viable. I hate playing dps classes as I am crap at them and always prefer healer/tank. I think it’s great that people feel negative about your ideas because it shows that the class isn’t for everyone. Someone within this thread mentioned that WoW is a solo game, which it does feel as though it’s heading that way for a long time but, I used to always play in a group in Vanilla - WotLK and loved every minute. If a Bard was available then I would have loved to give it a go. Remember, just because someone else doesn’t like your idea doesn’t mean it’s not a valid one. I hate playing DK but I understand some other people love it. Be happy for those people that love the things you don’t. You ideas sound great! :smiley::+1:

None of them are classes.
The first class they’re adding that is not connected to the original RTS games is the evoker (and I think it’s a horrible idea by the way).

I don’t want a bard in WoW; to me it just doesn’t fit.
I love them in D&D though.

Before Bard should be a thing, they should 100% add a Tinker class for goblins/gnomes

I like the idea of Bard as it could have a lot of potential and if done well, and add a fun refreshing element to the game.

Fast playstyle would not appeal to me personally, as I would struggle with it. The other ideas you have look good and fit the theme. :smiley:

I don’t find insanity fun on my shadow priest, preferred the orbs.

I see the class as also having potential as a hybrid healer, with some dps.

There are potentially many options which could be fun and fit the theme:

  • Speed increase running away from fans or thrown fruit.

  • Strong party buff - Concert - haste buff or health regen inc buff.

  • Healing - Riff / Musical therapy increases health over time for one or multiple players.

  • Single target heal - Solo - which although channelled gives a decent burst heal at the start then leaves a HoT.

I like the idea of a stun or knock back. It could change from knock back to stun when in dungeons.
