New class :Flex your creative muscles

Honestly the Tinker class sounds awesome, and the lore goes way waaay back. It should be restricted to Gnomes and Goblins for very obvious reasons, just like Illidari’s are elves only. Other races can suck it up, it’s bad enough we have nelf and orc mages, or goblin shamans, I mean that’s really stretching it there…

Furthermore I’d say to even give the classes their unique abilities again, Give shaman’s the only Bloodlust/Heroism (leave the drums just for a bit of flexibility) and in return give the polymorph back to mages, why do Shamans get Hex? Troll shamans makes sense, but every other race? Make it a racial if you have to. It would be half way to make racials count for something again at least.

Every class can do everything these days and it’s getting rather annoying. The entire ‘bring the player not the class’ argument is getting a bit too far for what is supposedly an RPG.

Two… They will never again release a class with three specs.

I think the most likely candidates for new classes are something related to death, because now in lore we see death as an important antagonist for the void, or tinker, because of the focus in gnomes in 8.2. Also, goblins seem to have more of a presence this expansion, not to mention their leader. In fact, I think if they don’t release that class now, they probably won’t release it in the future.

With undead, we see Blizzard hinting at a new version of the dead for Alliance with Calia. That would be another hint at the future importance of death and further reason for them to create a new class around that theme.

It sounds to me more like an excuse to give people who do not fancy gnomes or goblins a chance to play the class. Well, guess why I don’t play DH. Unfortunately, you can’t always have everything

I really like the idea of 4th (or 3rd ) specs, but some of these classes sound pretty sweet

What about a Dragon… KNIGHT! :crossed_swords::dragon::shield:

yup yup so many subtle hints to dark rangers…only question is would alliance get them too ? haven’t played the alliance story line so i’m not sure how prominent they are…but on the horde side, we seem to be hanging out with nathanos ALOT!

I think there’s too much hastly finished content already. Let’s not spread the butter thinner. Professions, please.

4th spec for all would be fun!

Could see paladins getting a crusader spec! or warlocks getting necromancer, priests getting whatever anduin has become because he kicks butt now

ohhh beserker warriors ! trickster rogues that specialise in illusions and traps with poisons !

frankenstiens monster. Can do everything, dps uses lightning from neck bolts, healing uses chemicals and tank uses its detachable limbs as off tank

Soldier class:

Mail wearer
Proficient with many weapons, shields and ranged weapons

spec1) Melee dps will use 2h+Shield.
spec2) Ranged dps with bow/gun/xbow.
spec 3) Tactical dps with ranged/melee mix.

Primary capabilities:

Standard strikes and shots.
Summoning faction based units.
First aid.
Temporary aoe buffs.
Single target powerups for minions.

Ability example:

Call Guards

Summon a group of guards on a party member who absorb damage and act in the “defensive” pet state

Phalanx strike

You take aim at a target, whenever the target attacks a nearby ally you will fire additional shots at them.

if this means blizzard give us dual wield miniguns i’m sold :low_brightness::sunglasses::low_brightness:

I think Death Knights were a bad addition, and believe that some other classes should’ve been one class with different visuals depending on race or style you pick for it.

The idea I had would be one for Frost Mages, making them more of a battlemage, a combination of the frost mages we’ve come to know and Frost DK.

To explain it as simple as possible, they’d switch between ranged and close combat frost spells and frost-laced strikes, depending on how much mana they have, they would hold various CC abilities such as frost novas and a remorseless winter-ish spell that would push back nearby enemies, they’d also hold quite a durable frost barrier to protect them, enhanced at the same time as their melee phase is enhanced.

Another melee class? yaa, no.

A tinker/engineer class?

-Mail armor, ranged weapon (with some abilities tied to it) or a melee weapon functioning as a stat stick.

-Using turrets and robots to heal, do damage, (tank?)

-Race locked to Gnomes and Goblins (And Mechagnomes and Vulpera if they become allied races.

-Definitely ranged DPS either with a gun or by having some function like monks where weapons are just “stat sticks”.
-Healing, through their little turrets and robots.
-Maybe tank, not sure how that would work seeing as they’re more ranged than melee. Having a robot tank for them maybe? But would make it hard to heal since pets don’t show up on most UI’s.

Mechpilot class (alternative to tinker)

-Mail armor, any weapon functioning as a stat stick. As they would be very ineffective out of their suits.

-Think a druid, except they don’t literally transform. They enter different mech suits like Gallywix and Mechatorque do. Some could be melee others could be ranged.

-Race locked to Gnomes and Goblins. (Mechagnomes and Vulpera as well if they become allied races)

-Ranged DPS, Melee DPS, Healing and Tanking through different Mechsuits.

Necromancer as cloth tank with undead pets helping him.It could be fun to play.

Why would vulpera be tinkers? There’s absolutely nothing about them mecha themed.

And why not have the mechpilot as a tank spec for tinker?

They’re supposedly intelligent and clever, and they’re scavengers. Learning to use what they got and a keen mind making them quick learners.

I think it fits them well enough. And any class beyond Legion has to be a Hero Class, and giving more Hero Classes to one faction would only cause an uproar.

If vulpera fit tinker then draenei and blood elves fit better. But I actually don’t think tinker works for them. Perhaps hunter, warrior, rogue, monk, priest is a bit of a stretch, and shaman, if Blizzard builds the lore for it. Perhaps by making a deal with the loa of Zandalar, the same way we see the tortolans do. And that’s it really. It would be strange if vulpera would suddenly develop an interest in machinery.

Agree on the first 2 points, but DHs dont need any additional spec. And honestly, I think that is very unlikely to happen.

That would require some serious alterations to what their spell effects looked like.

While cogs, oil and springs are all well and good for Gnomes and Goblins it would look out of place on Draenei and Blood Elves.
Draenei have what you could call tinkers, but they’re “artificers”, working with crystals and very futuristic technology compared to the “crude” technology of the Gnomes and Goblins.
For Blood Elves, their “technology” looks more like it’s just as much magic as it is tech.

Scavengers would be interested in whatever they could get their hands on though.
But I added them mostly because I find Mechagnomes and Vulpera very likely as a future Allied Race. And a Tinker/Mechpilot class that MECHAgnomes couldn’t use would be very strange.
Even stranger than a newly freed race developing an interest in Engineering from their new Goblin allies.

Because Sethrak for Alliance and Vulpera for the Horde would make the forums explode again, considering most people find the Sethrak “cooler” than the Vulpera.
So pairing them |Mechagnomes >< Vulpera| would give one small, silly race for each faction.
