Disagree! D&D bards are a master of non-combat situations. You can build a character that fills in the skill gaps in your party, such that you always have a unique set of useful abilities.
For combat, youâre not a blaster, and if thatâs what you love then fair enough, itâs âboringâ. Bard is not a class for laying down the big dams; but you can drop multiple battlefield control spells and give your party a much easier time by reducing how many opponents they have to tackle at once.
âŠnone of which make it appropriate for WoW. This game doesnât have the concept of a buffer/debuffer support build. Everyone has to do similar dps numbers else the playerbase gets real shirty. If a WoW bard also came with strong buffs and debuffs, it would be OP in any kind of group content to the point where all parties would have to have one.
