So every other MMO, has a Bard or some sort of class with music as it’s power.
I was thinking 3 specs
Bard (tank that uses a mix of sword, shield, and music)
Harp player (a healer)
flute master (a DPS that can also mind control enemies, similar to Shadowpriest)
Tell me what you think

That’s a really cool concept. Too bad it was a April fool’s joke
The guitar even dropped from darkmoon faire death metal knight:

I don’t think shrek is the place we want to go for class design ideas.
Bards are boring.
I’ll never understand why people like them. Especially in the D&D world.
“3min CD - This one time, at band camp”
Causes all players nearby to be stunned for 20sec”
Causes your flute to be soulbound - with good reason.

Tbh it’s better than a Tinker class or a
Dark Ranger (basically MM Hunter with Shadow magic)
I like the Dark Ranger thing but more for customizations.
And Tinker is just… well boring. It’s already a profession.
It’s the only movie that popped into my head with a flute master
But in general classes with music such as Bard are found in other MMO

Depends, some mmos have support classes in addition to tank//healer/dps.
Imagine bard ability sheepard flute:
You sing flute which anger your herd of sheeps for next 3 minutes, during sing you reicieve 30% more damage, but if not killed during that time your sheeps become really angry and trample enemy for big damage
I understand that reference!

We’ve probably all watched american pie.
A flute master should be able to make all nearby enemies and friends dance. Enemies fail dance and damage themselves friends gains buffs.

So every other MMO
Swtor has no bard.
But you do practice art of bloodshed and the whole alderaan is your canvas
STarwars Galaxies had entertainer / dancer / musician - many other non combat classes but these ones provided massive buffs when visiting a cantina.
They implemented these profs really well.
