I really hope they add a new class in Shadowlands.
Only thing that makes this game fun during downtime or over long periods of time is having enjoyable alts to work on and in BfA 90% of specs are a misery to play.
Hopefully the unrpunring will help with this but i suspect that every class is going to just get 2-3 old spells back and they’ll call it a day
I hope no more classes. Bring back spells and specs together instead. I hate that you play 3 different classes within one and the same class. I get that there should be a difference between dps, healer and tank specs but some pure DPS classes with 3 dps specs really feel like they aren’t from the same class at all.
New class would be huge sell point for expansion .If they have plans for such we would know by now so they can get sweet sweet preorder money
There won’t be a new class. It would’ve already been announced by now.
The game is already hard to balance as it is. We don’t need a new class - ever. Every new class they add renders the scales ever more uneven.

There will be no new classes or races in shadowland, as far as we know. So it’s literally a big patch.

According to your statement, 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3 are entire expansions because they bring new races. Nice logic!
Allied races were the entire gimmick of BFA which they advertised and confirmed even before BFA that they were going to add more during the expansion. Shadowlands on the other hand has no confirmed new races or classes.
Hah… I would not be so sure about it. Announcing new class during current hate could only backfire. I would personally wait with big reveals till toxic cloud of 8.3 & WC3 will fade away a little~

Wouldn’t then the more reasonable position be that perhaps it’s time for them to actually fix gameplay on existing classes than make more new ones and pick their brains what to take out from existing ones yet again to make the new one have some things that only it has?
I actually have grown to like this change. It actually feels like one class is actually 3 (or 2 or 4) different classes, which also makes leveling alts of the same class more enjoyable
