Hey, am I the only one after this update of the System Options tab and I heard somewhere that they switched to Dragonflight client, that is experiencing like major fps drops in raids and bad performance? :S Or perhaps its from the addons , maybe theyre not optimized yet? :S Anyone having similar problems?
You aren’t the only one. I am getting 20%-30% lower FPS after the client update, even after disabling all addons.
At first, I thought it was because the new UI had different default graphics settings, but I am just not getting the usual performance without reducing the picture quality to levels that I find not that appealing…
Yea the performance sucks after update, mine goes from casual stutter during dungeons to huge freezes of 6-8seconds in raids, sometimes I get lagspikes as well. Hope they fix this mess.
Would you mind linking that? Remember your addons need major updates.
I’m still getting 120fps+.
How old computers do ppl have if you notice performance drops in this game?
Me too having lags, good PC, fibre connexion, no addons. Can run only WoW now, not any programs beside then LAG!
If you have some very old addons they can sometimes cause so many errors you can lose 50-60+ FPS from addons alone lol, that can be noticable even on decent PC’s.
To OP:
Try disabling addons for some silly raid like VoA or so, just to test if it’s an addon being outdated/corrupted causing the framedrops.
I had some FPS drops before i updated my addons. It’s normal, as some API calls are now different and it probably made a ton or errors. Just update, it’ll be better and check your graphical options as it changed drastically. Maybe there an option activated that you haven’t before too.
When I first loaded up retail I got 10 FPS, then I removed my addons and it shot up to 90.
Try this command /console scriptErrors 1 to see your errors and this one /console scriptErrors 0 to turn it off. I was getting 700+ errors in retail.
change directx from 12 to 11 legacy, it fixed my problems. 60 fps average before patch, 9 fps after patch. this change fixed it
Didn’t notice FPS drops, but I did have some lag, even though my latency stayed normal.
