New coding nonsensically nerfs casters

I’ve noticed the following abilities have been tweaked/are bugged to still stop spells hitting even when they are not up at the time the spell lands:

Grounding Totem
Spell Reflect
Ice Block
Nether Ward

Examples: I cast Shadow Crash, Warrior presses Spell Reflect, I Mind Flay the Reflect, the Shadow Crash lands, my VT and SWP are not applied.

Mage has 1 second left on Ice Block, I press Shadow Crash pre-emptively, the Ice Block expires, the Shadow Crash lands, my VT and SWP are not applied.

I press Shadow Crash, Warlock presses Nether Ward, I purge the Nether Ward, Shadow Crash lands, the dots are not applied.

I Shadow Crash, Shaman presses Grounding Totem, I Death the Totem, the Shadow Crash lands, the dots are not applied.

Fix it.

Debuff application is calculated the second you press your ability regardless of projectile time.

If spells that deny dot application are up when you press your spell then it will not apply regardless of that defensive duration. I know it’s visually strange because your dots are only applied when shadowcrash lands but that’s deceptive.

It did last season and every season before that. It’s called ‘outplaying’, and they’ve nerfed it.

its different for every spell / counter
some interactions could be changed to prior patches though, but im not entirely sure

Thanks for your contribution.
