New computer, WoW freezes

Hello! I’ve got a a new gaming computer and everything works, except I can’t play WoW.

Well, I was able to play for about a week, but I wasn’t able to resize the window. (I play the game in windowed not in fullscreen.) Every time I would try to resize the game it would freeze, but other than that it worked.

But today, it won’t start at all. I push the “play” button in the battle.net launcher, the game starts, but it freezes and I get a “no reaction” notification next to “World of Warcraft”. So, I can’t even get into the game at all.

I’ve updated the graphics driver. I deinstalled and installed the game. I tried the “scan and repair” thing in the launcher. Before today, I switched from DirectX12 to DirectX11, but that hasn’t helped with the freezing thing either.

As I mentioned, today it won’t start at all. I’m so frustrated and I just want it to work. :frowning:

The new computer has a Radeon RX 7800 XT graphic card.

SOLVED: I’m apparently dumb and I plugged the monitor into the wrong HDMI slot. :see_no_evil:

I hate to ask this, but, may I laugh?

Don’t worry m8, we’ve all done that at least once in our lives.

One of my friends makes that mistake so often, its now the first question I ask her when troubleshooting. “Check that you have the HDMI in the right port.” “It is…not… Sorry.”
