I actually partially take back what i said about this talent change, i thought it was a good change at first, but the cost reduction was actually far cooler in terms of actual gameplay, my rotation feels significantly slowed down in terms of how many chaos bolts/rains of fire i actually cast, i am honestly shocked at how much of a difference it made. Maybe they should have just increased increased the amount of cost reduction to 8 instead of 6, and slap like a 20% damage increase on top, and call it a day.
I did try it on the pts, but i thought the lack of speed was due to lag, so i was hopeful, but nope, basically the same on live with no lag.
Damage is fine, but it’s honestly not that superior to how it was before the change.
The thing is, those half cost chaos bolt still counted as full cost for blasphemy and gwd, so the cd reduction and uptime on blasphemy was actually quite a bit higher before. Same for aoe.
The best way to solve this though, is to just make gwd a class tree talent, so you can take rain of chaos.
Ps: Might as well add this here, make channel demonfire generate 1 soul shard fragment for each bolt that hit the target.
