I may actually join that Discord later, always interested talking elf stuff, and I have some ideas for High Elf racials if they were ever made a totally separate race.
Divine. Utterly fantastic, I was supposed to have a videocall game of chess with a woman who is the love of my life on friday, she messaged me on facebook and said she wanted to cancel it. I was heartbroken, especially during Lockdown when I haven’t seen many people, she then says she wants to change the date to Saturday instead, as that way she can get in her car and drive sixty miles to my house, and we can as long as we’re careful, play the chessgame in person, make it a date.
So we did, and she’d even brought me presents, even though it is not my birthday or anything.
Just when I thought I couldn’t fall any more in love with her.
Then yesterday night was a hilarious game of Mutant chronicles (anyone who knows the game setting will know that ‘hilarious’ and ‘Mutant Chronicles’ do not normally go together) over video chat with a few mates, and chilling.
So yeah, was a very happy weekend for me, I trust everyone else’s was at the very least satisfactory.

The latest beta build actually still had the “secondary skin and hair” (they uploaded the video on YouTube, and they the were looking at the void elves if they got anything new along with the other races sadly nothing new for any race 
)I’m not sure what those are though but they still are there, but it could be related to their void form/entropic embrace
Edit: yes wowhead said they were for their void form. So something will happen to the racial I think. But wowhead said they doubt they will let us customize the racial, after all it’s a 12 sec proc
I would love for Blizzard to just communicate if they intend on giving Void Elves the hair colors at least, if not the BE classic hairstyles.
I really want to turn my BE into a Velf and go blue, but I don’t want to change and then be an Emo High Elf all the time. I want to keep more or less the same look so I can join Veressa and her creepy twins

The hair colors don’t have anything to do with the racial. But it just happened to appear like an option. They might let us toggle the form or they might change it visually to be more like Alleria’s but I doubt it.
This is because what we originally wanted was playable high elves as their own race. With the new options, we’ll still be forced to be void elves, fully so when racials are showing.
We’ve been repeating that similar, differently coloured options should come to blood elves.
I’ve completely abandoned the idea of high elf paladins. Not only because there are only a few that even exist, but mostly because when tied with void elves, the class makes zero sense. I’m going to let Vanerion become a hunter, if I get the proper options.
Time to draw some acting lessons from Berthold Brecht here. I agree.
I can easily suspend disbelief for my own part. At least if my character looks at least somewhat like he’s supposed to. Role playing addons help too. Thing is, however, that I can easily understand those who want to change the race tag, simply because of this kind of comment right here:
Not that this particular person is someone I take seriously, of course, but this is the kind of comments we risk facing when role playing as high elves with void elf race tags and racial abilities. We can suspend disbelief all we want, but when met with this kind of remark, I understand that some people, myself included on some days, would rather just not have to.
That’s Utopian. There are probably as many opinions on this as there are elf players. But I’ll try to get the bosses in the Discord to organize something.
They are, though. Separate people of the same race.

I would be so incredibly happy with this, that the rest would be just bonus flavouring.
Ultimately, I wanted high elves as a separate thing. But these new options are now happening, and we’re hoping and asking that Blizzard will make the best possible compromise, that offers us options that are as close to what a high elf playable race would be in their own right as possible.
- Factions. There. Disproven.
- Blood elves no longer call themselves high elves. There. Disproven.

I guess it could be summarized as: it’s not the solution we wanted, but it’s better than nothing?
With enough suspension of disbelief it might work. Not sure if I’ll be able to, personally, but I’m probably going to try.
