Then you will be the faction of shorties.
Maybe, but at the same time I can finally remove my last elf character, since murlocs can be DH by canon.
Ah I see but why donât you like elfs ? I know it is wierd to see orcs with elfs. But they could be the best Horde race?
Edge-lords, enough said. Just look at the whole thread.
Be happy with the foxes we got gnomes with junk parts⌠xD
I think you actually remember it better than I did, that was his stance and reasoning, yes, my apologies. I just remember all the other Council members, who were nominally Alliance races being surprised at his vote.
Hang onâŚwait a minute. That would mean the removal of the Blood Elves as a Horde race, and killing off their leaders, I thought we were all on the same page here that the only High Elf fans who wanted that were the utterly crazy ones, or did I not get a new memo or something.
Its what appeals to me about them as well, they are much more like Elves from our real world myths and legends, and not some wishy washy Legolas wannabeâs.
Well theyâre no different to any Blood Elf in that regard, with 90% of the race being killed I think it is pretty safe to say that -every- Thalassian Elf will have suffered that tragedy.
I often think Blizz sometimes throw around these figures â90% were killedâ without thinking what an absolutely apocalyptic event that would be for a nation. To give a small metaphor, I live in the 32nd most densely populated nation on the planet (the UK) with a population of 66 million. If we suffered a 90% reduction, to 6.6 million and that surviving population was spread across the country then I would be the only living person within 12 miles in any direction, even beyond that 12 miles there would be -One- other living person, It would be a catastrophic event that as humans in real life we simply cannot comprehend the sheer scale of.
Iâm pretty sure -every- resident of Quelâthalas would be massively traumatised in some way or another by the Scourge invasion.
Ehhh debateableâŚ
The Kaldorei have just lost their capital, yes.
The Void Elves have a capital, but they were Exiled from it for being naughty, and then they rejected it by joining the Alliance.
The High Elves have a capital, but they were Exiled from it, and though the Exile has been repealed, they show no intentions of going home.
So really, only the Kaldorei donât currently have a capital city, the other two either chose to reject it, or now choose not to live there.
Iâd say its a bit grandoise trying to call that a capital. Itâs like claiming that the Nightborne characters âgetâ Suramar, whereas in fact Suramar is still a city full of hostiles in game, what the Nightborne characters -actually- get is a tiny square garden, smaller than Telogrus Rift even.
They might look like Legolas wannabeâs on the outside, but they really, REALLY, arenât.
Thats what I mean, thats what appeals to me about Warcrafts Elves, they generally -arenât- Good Two Shoes people who side with humans and Dwarves, I mean Tolkienâs werenât so much either, but he did sanitise them, a -lot- in his stories, even the bad ones.
This looks really nice! Canât wait for Shadowlands!
I am. But I would rather see Azshara destroy or kill every elf leader and unite all elves under the name Highborne-Children of the noble birth aka Quelâdorei in Darnassian and Thalassian. (Keep in mind the Highborne night elves were and still are Quelâdorei
Edit: by all elves I mean night elves/naga, high, void, blood elves and nightborne
I donât think the Blood Elves are going to let themselves fall under the banner of âQuelâdoreiâ again considering why they renamed themselves in the first place. They are also too proud to accept a leader like ⌠Azshara?
This is out of genuine curiosity - why do you have sympathy for a character like Azshara but hate a character like Lorâthemar? The latter is a war hero that earned himself the position of Sylvanasâ second-in-command. He was left to clean up the mess Kaelâthas left behind and did so out of love and duty towards his people. Why would any leader deserve death for those things and to be replaced by Azshara, who has done nothing for the elf races but try to kill them?
Under Azsharaâs reign the elves prospered. And let not forget how she tried to save her people after she saw how everything that happened was her fault. People say she sold her people to Nâzoth but she didnât. She said save me and my people or let us die. Lorâthemar has done nothing for his people. Pretty much like Tyrande. They always sent others to do their dirty work for them. Out of all the blood elves I only have respect for Liadrin who honestly deserves to be the leader, sheâs done more for the blood elves than both Rommath and Lorâthemar together.
Edit: and we clearly saw how Azshara was done working with dark forces, but she took advantage of Nâzoth and waited until she could kill him. She herself said in Nyâalotha that sheâs done with dark forces. And blizzard obv wonât bring her back only to kill her.
So Azshara laughs at elves losing their lives, so we should all be under a vile witch like her.
No thanks, Lorâthemar and Thalyssra have done far more for Sinâdorei and Shalâdorei than the b**** Azshara, could ever do.
And what about Elisande? She exiled her people and she knew they will become monsters but she didnât care. Lorâthemar as well exiled his own people yet he knew they could die. Azshara at least never exiled her people. And it was said that she was corrupted by Sargerasâs influence
So that makes the deaths of the none-Highborne of Zin-Azshari, alright? The deaths of people like Ravencrest and Dejahna is perfectly acceptable, because poor Azshara was corrupted.
So that means, Kaelâthas attacking Silvermoon to steal Mâuru is accepted, because the poor Sun King was corrupted by Kilâjaedon.
What about her? Sheâs dead and not the leader.
They didnât and the difference here is, just like Malfurion with the Blood Elvesâ ancestors, he couldnât lead a divided nation, with the risks of a civil war. The Blood Elves were desperate and everyone had to be on the same page.
Malfurion exiled the Highborne, knowing it could kill them and some did die, but they eventually founded QuelâThalas.
The High Elves already allies in Theramore, Dalaran and Stormwind. They had all lost the Sunwell and they found ways of dealing with it.
I never said it was kk. But clearly if everyone else can be forgiven so can Azshara.
Lorâthemar has a tone of lore detailing everything he has done for his people. I would recommend Nobbelâs lore videos on him. He is actually one of the few racial leaders that doesnât endanger his people with personal vendettas and storylines and acts on their behalf rather than for himself. I would take him over someone that struck deals with the Legion and worked with an Old God to turn Azeroth into the Black Empire again any day, lol. The exile of the High Elves was to prevent a civil war that would drive a race facing extinction into certain extinction - he was saving High Elf lives as much as Blood Elf ones, and even invited them back home when things settled.
Azshara is responsible for the deaths of many, many people, no matter the guilt she may or may not have felt over it, and is far beyond the realm of redemption IMO. The races of Azeroth want her dead, not have her as a leader. Thatâs why she serves as a villain. I say this as a fan of Azshara myself. Itâs sometimes better theyâre left that way.
Can she bring Ravencrest and Dejahna back as well as the Warriors, Magi and Priests, who fell to her wishes of wanting a world of perfection?
No - she canât.
At least Lorâthemar tried to invite the High Elves back and they refused. Their fate with the odd artifact in Cataclysm was their own undoing. Lorâthemar already gave them an offer and they refused, threatening him with his life, if he was to ever return.
Killing Azshara would be the biggest mistake Blizzard would do. Thereâs more to her story. And no she never planned to have the black empire return, that was her plan to let everyone know she was planning to in order to kill Nâzoth. Thatâs the reason why they didnât killed her off, and I doubt they will bring her back only to serve as a villain and be killed off for good. Illidan also did a lot of horrible things yet he was still redeemed. At this point Azshara has more redeeming qualities than Sylvanas
I think you forgot why the refused. Horde players were sent there by Nathanos to kill them and retrieve something that âbelongedâ to him. And by that time the blood elves were part of the horde.
