Hi I’m from the Czech Republic and play on the EN-Drak’Thul server which is very popular for us (for Czech and Slovakia players). On the our server Drak’Thul I have a constantly latency about 35-60ms, sometimes higher. I’ve tried other servers now and found out that I have stable 20-28ms on the French server Temple noir! I didn’t even have such good results on German or closer servers and I very much feel it in response while combat or chatting/working with items. The question is, can I have also this great response on the drak’thul server and if so, how? I do not understand that I have the best response on a French server that is so far away than others. And question for blizzard managers, do you plan to make a server in Prague for us in a future? There are many of us and I’m very sure the great response will be appreciated by the players. Servers are not always based in the country for the language they are set up in, ie Italian servers may not be in Italy. 15 milliseconds is such a small amount of time that it does not make sense to spend huge amounts of money moving the servers, paying for the people to support it, paying for the location, paying for the data connections and many other things they will need to buy to move them for such a small amount of Latency gain.
You will get a better latency by getting a faster internet package. I upgraded mine from ADSL2 to fibre and my latency halved.
