New enhancement shaman nerfs ?!

Any particular reasoning behing this abnormal decision?

they buffed shammy , and this 3% nerf is after player testing, they were pumping hard
only a slight nerf to the buff they got in 10.2

they do absurd dmg in pve and in pvp their whole spec is lotto (same for ele) and needs buried.

yesterday at 1 hp an enhancement shaman outplayed me by pressing stormstrike once and 13 different damage sources activated in 0.2 sec which added up to 259.1k damage and i died from 44% hp. they needed the nerf in pvp too. the fact that they can just do their normal rotation and some times it does average damage, some times it does 400k dps, is probably some form of violation of EU anti-gambling laws.

Could you please find that particular info? I can’t seem to track all these changes and I can’t seem to recall that ‘‘buff’’. Thanks.

You should be on the shaman discord, they tend to give quite relevant information about the current state of shamans. Mostly for PvE but they also have a PvP chat at the same time. Its good info :+1:

  • Developers’ note: We have shuffled a few talents around the Enhancement Shaman tree to increase some available talent choices. We’re also adjusting the functionality of a few talents to work with more melee abilities or elemental damage types to make them more attractive to a wider variety of builds. A new passive talent is available to choose rather than Elemental Blast to allow you to opt out of an extra keybind and Maelstrom Weapon spender to keep track of with Elemental Blast. We hope these changes give you some extra flexibility with your talent points and make some lesser used talents more impactful.
  • Several talents have been moved to a different place in the talent tree.
  • Starter build updated due to the pathing changes above.
  • Elemental Assault can now also generate Maelstrom Weapon charges from Ice Strike and Lava Lash rather than only Stormstrike.
    • Developers’ note: This change will be added in next week’s PTR update.
  • Legacy of the Frost Witch now also increases Frost damage when consuming 10 stacks of Maelstrom Weapon rather than only Physical damage.
  • Primordial Wave can no longer be used to heal a friendly ally, it is now only an offensive spell for Enhancement Shaman.
  • Splintered Elements now grants you 20% Haste plus an additional 4% Haste per extra target hit by Primordial Wave, rather than 10% Haste per target hit.

  • Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope (2) Set Bonus: Fixed an issue that prevented the set bonus Feral Spirit from granting the player Maelstrom Weapon generation.
  • Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope (2) Set Bonus: Fixed an issue that prevented the set bonus from changing your Feral Spirit into a Spirit Raptor if glyphed for that effect.

the 3% nerf is just to balance the changes on these

enhance still does like 175k lightnign bolts that you cant interrupt ?

if it crits yeah, tbf, doesnt crit that often, usually only got 6% chance as we stack haste or mastery

It doesn’t matter… Enha needs an insane rework to be viable again. Buff healing surge, wall in Stun, rework burrow, Stormstrike range or give us more movility, instant hex… until this not happens this spec is dead sadly.

Man, if i wasn’t in the army i would ask you for the stuff you’re smoking.

I can heal more than that on my DH
Did you guys know that if you spec the bloodmoon talent on DH, that you can heal for 120-130k every 10 seconds
Just press the dispell even if people do not have any buffs on them, you still get a soul for it and it can even upgrade to a greater soul
It gives the same buff as the demon procs and also heals for the same amount

3% is not enough for spec that anybody can go hurrr and lottery someone in instant, it can be nerfed alot more than that till it starts make sense and put back into the support role it is suppose to be just like retris are not suppose to be some nuclear bombs with 20y ranges and hitting everybody for 200k dps aoe with press of 2 buttons, its toolkit and main idea is also support but now it just has everything

there are pure dps classes with only dps specs which are doing less dmg and less burst than some of these hybrids thats traditionally played as hybrid to play as support for the team, now the game is just ridiculous and lost all sense of proportions and logic

the talent shuffle for Enhancement shammy
is a massive buff
im a fairly new enhance shammy, only got 1.8 for the mog

but this new talent shift will make it very fun in arena

What? Enha is the most squishy mele in the game. Even with that healer you can’t keep alive. 160k Healing surge when we have 650k? xD. While sp, locks, dks even warrior heals more than me as passive.

In shadowlands one healing surge top us 60% of our hp, main reason enha was viable to play. Now healing passive does nothign and healing surge is negative.

I mean every mele has 500 stuns and knocks, if enha has instant hex World of warcraft lost his mind? I mean c’mon bro.

While dh with 2x stuns, incap, fear.
Warrior 2x stuns, fear.
Monk with disarm, incap, stun.
Dk with silence, stun blind.
Feral with main, bash, clone.
Retry with Hoj and blind.
Hunter, scatter trap, pet stun.
Rogue no comments.

And Enha can’t have an instant cc to play? C’mon…

no reason to leave mage or sp out, or rogue non detailed, every class cc arsenal on this dogfood expansion is off the chart

it is beyond reasonable just like everything on the expansion related pvp

dk does not heal more than enhance, behave

i play both classes ( Enhance + DK )

healing stream heals for 17k-20k a tick passively while surge heals 100k+ with no resource issues,
whereas a DK require to use 40RP to heal in melee range with DS for a measly 70k
thats 40% of your mana pool as a 1:1 ratio just to heal once as a DK

Wind sheer,
incap totem,
static field totem + totem projection macro,
instant Root earth grab totem,
Stun Sundering 40sec cd
thunderstorm to knock up/ away
Lasso to stun

hex is the only non instant CC a shammy has

need i go on ?
