A new epic bg was needed. But let’s be honest, as long as the epic bgs are currently in the state they are in, with so much premade, any new epic bg will be a failure. They must do something with the premades or the epic bg won’t have much of a future.
It can’t be worse than vehicle-based BGs like Wintergrasp and IOC. I think it’ll be an improvement.
My theory is that it’ll be very similar to the Original Ashran with side-objective events that will consistently go in a loop with a un-ending Battleground, you gain control of the Battleground until you kill off the enemy’s boss and repeat, which can be used for farming honor, conquest and an pseudo alternative for gearing alts in a PvP manner.
Playing in a team will become more relevant. The pursuit of new achievements, farming victories, speed of getting, this is what is needed.
If it’s anything like Ashran, a leader will make a massive difference.
I wish for large scale map with rush mode.
Two Teams: One team attacks, the other defends.
Deatroyable (bomb planted stations): The attackers’ goal is to destroy pairs of such objectives, while the defenders must stop them.
Progression: The map is divided into sectors. When attackers destroy both stations in a sector, the defenders fall back, and the battle moves to the next sector of the map.
Tickets (Lives/reinforcements): The attacking team has a limited number of respawn tickets. If they run out before destroying the objectives, the defenders win.
Defenders’ Role: Defenders have unlimited respawns but must prevent the destruction of stations until attackers run out of tickets.
Key Features of Rush Mode would be:
Asymmetrical gameplay: Attackers push forward, defenders hold ground.
Dynamic map: Destruction and shifting frontlines make battles intense.
Vehicle use: Depending on the map, attackers or defenders may get access to Demolishers, Catapults, or even Gunship, influencing strategy.
Round ends when either:
Attackers destroy all stations across all sectors (attackers win).
Defenders drain attackers’ tickets before the last set of stations are destroyed (defenders win).
Then, become a leader.

At least wintergrasp has an end. While I dont like it, its one of the least painful epic bgs. This while content needs a rework, but blizzard doesnt give a flying f about anything pvp related, so its simply not happening.
Good luck ever defusing an armed objective with the slow time to kill, the numerous ccs and knockbacks in the game or just simple anticap.
Rush works in Battlefield games because you can quickly shoot the attackers and disarm. It would not work in WoW.
It would work if they made it like the breakthrough / operations mode in Battlefield, where you take objectives by presence like taking bases in unrated Eots or the workshops in Wintergrasp.
Once the attackers own all objectives in a sector, it advances to the next sector.
I think this would be an interesting addition. Teams would have to decide how many players they want to commit to attacking / defending each objective. This would allow for a variety of tactics.

This is how a mode like this is implemented in the game Battlefield 1.
I just came up with an idea. Of course they would need to adjust it to fit WoW needs.
It will be a dead on the arrival if blizzard won’t ban premades.
Blizz also need to adjust the rewards for playes. Because waiting time and the amount of honor doesn’t feel right.
Comp stomp will be available permanently. If you just want to farm honour while not contributing to your teams progress and constantly whining about every BG being a premade, just play this instead!
Comp stomp gives low amount of honor, and to be honest degenerates who run premades will be a problem unless blizzard bans them and addons they use for qsynch or browsing the queues.
Well, it takes no effort. Just like solo queuing alts with TBC quest gear into epics for other people with gear to carry them, so yes it should give less honour. Maybe it won’t in Midnight, who knows.
To be honest, at the start of TWW comp stomp NPC could hold their own against badly geared people, in terms of raw damage. People with honor gear won’t sit in comp stomp - zero reason.
Adjust the numbers then.
Blitz exists. No premades, fair games, since they now have the gear for it. Sounds like all your points have been adressed by Blizzard. You should be happy. Not sure what the problem is at this point.
For premades 10vs. 10 battlegrouds exist. Random should be random, not premade team vs random group.
Besides the way premades actually queue and monitor other queue is against the TOS, and in ideal world where blizzard would have done what blizzard should do Premade tools would have been banned and people who used them and was in group with people who organize q-synch get a perma ban for their BNet account.
Fair play should be in every mode no matter if it is rated or not.
Fun should be an equal thing, not a prerogatory of morally and intelligently bankrupt group that can’t do a normal BGS or too afraid to do Rate or Blitz.
For solo players the dedicated game mode Blitz exists. Random battlegrounds are literally made for everybody. Solo players, groups, multiple groups. Solo players looking for exclusively solo content choosing to play the wrong content on purpose(not Blitz) are the only ones complaining tho. Just join a premade community, or continue playing solo, or with a friend, or with 1 group if you like it! Problem solved. Every mode is “fair” by design. Everybody has the same tools at hand to increase/decrease their chances to win.
Random is random, put premades here and it removes the random element. It is not for “Everybody” it is for everyone to have fun. Premades remove fun for the non premade group.
Premades is a fraction of player base that ruins fun to rest of the already dwindling player base. Premades that use q synch addons and other tools to browse and cancel the queue when they would have a hard matchup is against the ToS, and should be removed from the game.
Blizzard need to follow example of their Chinese partner and find real or metaphorical balls and remove the Premades from the game. Or made a system where coordinated group of players of 2 to 5 would me matched ageist the group with similar premade in it like what Overwatch tried to do - yes queues will be longer, but it won’t be the issue of normal random players.
