New event - "Infinite Possibilities"

Greetings all,

I have seen some posts about how people wish the factions were back at war with one another.
It got me thinking for a way to have the cake and eat it too.
What about a random event, not announced by the calendar and that gets triggered by Blizzard when they feel the time is right for it.

What does the event contain?
It is “basically” a fight between the bronze dragonflight and the corrupt infinite dragonflight.
At the very first time the event starts, the player gets contacted by a bronze dragonflight that heard about a plot the infinite dragonflight was working on, to ask for help, the bronze dragon casts a time bubble around the player, shielding them from time influences.
Not long after the event triggers (this part is skipped on subsequent events).

It becomes a sort of “what if…” as the Horde and Alliance races are split up in multiple factions.
Classic to Lich king races are their own 2 factions, the allied races their own 2 factions, and the Pandaren and Dracthyr are grouped together (regardless if they were H or A before)

Now comes the point, Each of these 3 sides is hated to one another. So for example, a Vulpera can no longer walk into Ogrimmar and will be attacked by guards on sight. Same for a Pandaren going into Stormwind etc.
There is a choice to be made, either you join the Bronze Dragonflight to restore the timeline as it was. OR… you join the Infinite Dragonflight and rain terror on everyone else.
The choice is a warband made choice, so think before you pick a side. The longer the Infinite dragonflight is in control, the longer the event lasts.
For those who enjoy PvP, you now have a much larger pool of others to fight with. Even those servers who were leaning to one side, now with the extra fracture it means you can fight someone that “used to be on your side” before.

Each of these random events can have a theme, for example:
One event made it that the Tauren were never saved by the orcs from the centaurs. Thus Thunder Bluff has never been build, all remaining taurens are spread across Kalimdor in the little outposts.
Or Ogrimmar had never been build, ThunderBluff as main capital with a lot of camps on the bottom of the bluffs.
Stormwind never recovered from Deathwing, now looks like a desolate ruins with some zombies scuffling around.
(Or what-if situations like, what if the Horde/Alliance actually had won the war? How would Azeroth look like then?)

When this event is active, the player will be slightly limited. For example, the heartstones are all reset to their own race capital. If that capital does not excist, the nearest friended race’s city.
Pandaren and Dracthyr need to have a alternative way to get back to the rest of Azeroth as they have never awoken or connected to Azeroth, yet the player remains with the memory that there is something there so they can find their way back. The Dracthyr could have lost the ability for visage in one event, but in the other event can use it to spy on the other race (perhaps temporally fixed to the original bloodelf/human model)
Or even an event where all dragons have taken over, pushed by the infinite dragons and no capital is present and every race hides. Or visa versa, all of Azeroth is on to wipe all dragonkind out.

The event may start with Chromie informing the player, but once started it will be another bronze dragon that has contact with you and act like it has known you for years.
After the event, the bronze dragon you talked to will not remember you.
The rewards could go to the Dragon faction you chose for in reputation, but perhaps also time specific items for housing, transmog items lost to time etc.

Side note: This event ignores instanced things like LFD and LFR, battlegrounds and M+, all are still present and outside of the “broken timeline”
That way, those who do not want to partake of the event are not hindered that much and can still continue their scheduled raids, M+ or other content. (and perhaps work orders and AH as well but on other locations like a time shielded bubble from bronze dragons)

What do you think?
