My pc is windows 7 64 byte and runs WOW fine, my game is fully updated and im told i can upgrade ( presumably to War within). For some time my chr screen says my pc will not run future expansions but if my game is fully updated does this mean WW is already playable (after i pay for the expansion). looking at WW specs it does say Windows 7 will run so i dont know whether i should pay for WW or will it stop running. I only play on very low specs anyway so i dont know what to do. Any advice is welcome.
Your operating system is not the only thing that determines if the game is playable, what are your CPU, GPU, RAM and do you have an SSD?
I don’t think we have updated requirements for TWW, the store page seems to list the same as this link.
My device manager saysWINDOWS 7 Pro, intel core2 Quad CPU, Q6600 @2.40GHZ 2.40GHZ
16G RAM, AMD RADEON Z7 200 Series, SATA 1TB HDD,
TWW is not released yet it is just on pre-order.
this, your gpu and probably win7 will be issue with TWW. specs can change by the time they release it. your best bet is buying the expansion & trying it out when they release beta in spring . however with the current specs even if you manage to run it it might be an issue with new raid dungeons etc.
I never do raids, mostly questing, i may do a dungeon solo if i am able but like i said im mostly out soloing quests.
It’s highly unlikely to simply stop running. It may run very slowly with low frame rates and stuttery visuals.
My pc is 10 years old this year, my graphics card is a GTX 670). I have the graphics set to 3 and it runs fine. But I don’t do much high end gameplay.
If I have to set it down to 1 next time then that’s what I’ll do. Not sure how much longer I’ll be able to play anyhow, my eyesight is getting worse so if I get another expansion I’ll be reasonably content with that. I very much doubt I’ll see the end of the World Within Saga.
Sorry to hear that Gram. It’s worsening quite quickly it seems?
This year it has. Although it can level out for years and then start worsening again. I hope it levels out soon for a few years.
I hope so too, I’ll cross my fingers for you. I don’t know how you feel about it but I can imagine it’s stressful, even when you accept the fact it is happening.
