I enjoy the faction conflict as well.
But I guess a place where you literally punch each other in the face all day “can” be neutral. If anything, it’s an opportunity to punch even more members of the opposing faction.
Hot-take: Dueling hasn’t been fun since MoP.
Since Legion*. Dueling in WoD was nearly identical to MoP.
- Legion killed dueling by enabling Legendaries, such as Prydaz, in open world content.
- BFA had no proper PvP gear, you needed to grind M+ and ilvl differences were too big for casual duels to be a fun activity.
- By the time Shadowlands & SL fixed all those mistakes, the dueling community had already abandoned this hobby.

I guess I didn’t say WoD because everyone spent their “leisure time” at the Garrison instead of outside Org/SW
