Okay, hear me out: you know how Demon Hunters can Double Jump, yes?
When they were first released, they were the first and only ones to have both Double Jump and Glide abilities.
Very unique and peculiar, indeed.
Then, Dracthyr came out and they were given the Glide ability only, as it makes sense since they have… well, you know, wings.
So here’s the thing:
What if we give Double Jump ability to rogues as a baseline ability?
Please note that this would only be a flavour ability to ehnance exploration, it wouldn’t realistically add anything to any of the currently existing Rogue specializations.
I think it’d fulfill a good chunk of the agile/parkourish fantasy of the class without making it really overpowered with the “speed burst” part of the glide portion.
I think it’d be awesome and would also re-invigorate the rogue playerbase since it’s the least played class (after Evoker, for obvious reasons)!
i wanna be able to stealth and stay stealthed even if i take 0.1 dmg, its toooooo easy to get rogues out of stealth. useless ability and everything require stealth
I wouldn’t be opposed to this it sounds like a cool idea, part of the reason I actually chose Dracthyr for my race as I love the glide/feel of it. Also not having to ever worry about fall damage again is a cool feeling as well!
Baseline for Rogue I feel would give rogues something unique and help us to standout among the other classes. Only issue I would see if it was a baseline ability is the comparison to demon hunters, and how it’s just stealing off of them.
Will we get something like that in game? More than likely no, but never say never! It’s a great idea to put out there and the developers do check the forums a fair amount from what I’ve seen. So for all we know it could be something already in development that they’re working down the pipeline.
Only time will tell! Great suggestion though Hadow, thank you for sharing with us all!
