This would already hurt the faction balance on Jin´do before it´s start…
because most of these clowns are not pvp players. they are just some pve players who choose the wrong realm to play and don’t understand it. must of them die 2time in the open world make a post here and want the transfer to somewhere else. these is what kind of player we dealing with. for 1week they beg for a new fresh realm now blizzard make 1 for them and now most of the comment in this topic just saying we don’t want a new fresh realm. who are these people?! don’t know :))
It does in wotlk.
The only reason server died was p2.
If blizzard didnt allow transfers back then, the whole situation would be different.
But they saw money.
they need to alow only under lvl 60 players to move if they want if not only small portion of players will move when you lvl to 55 all this time if they dont alow mig none wil go … nothink will change only fresh new players will play there.
IF transfers would be enabled, they would HAVE to control the amount that could transfer from each faction.
Otherwise (As you can see in this thread perfectly) we would end up with monofaction PvP realms again, and then Thekal would be dead too.
Opening up a new fresh realm is already risky as it is tbh
Maybe they expect enough new fresh player to fill Jin´do.
I actually don´t think that Jin´do is only meant to reduce the queue on Thekal (it probably will, because some people will just start “fresh again”).
If it was meant to reduce the queue, they probably would do something similar like with Eranikus - lock char creation, transfers only from Thekal…
That´s the reason why they didn´t want to do it…
Thank you blizzard. You made 4 of my friends flee thekal.
I have invested almost 2 days already on Thekal but I am so sick of these queues that I am going to reroll on Jin’do.
Thekal is a fresh server, having a fresh lvl 70 from a fresh realm still makes it fresh lol
I find there to be some severe lack of communication yet again. Why so sparse on the details? Is this server supposed to simply offer a fresh PvP servers for players that for some reason have yet to start playing and are now locked out from starting on Thekal? Or is this supposed to be some kind of answer and solution to the current problem with daily 15k queues on Thekal?
I would expect the idea is for this new fresh server to help out the current state of Thekal? If that is the case I don’t really grasp what you are going for here.
I’ve already spent over 60 hours in queue total on Thekal, I’ve had to schedule everything around the game instead of the other way around how it’s meant to be. And I have already gotten two characters on Thekal to a decent level and started interacting with a lot of the players on this server, already grinded some of my professions, etc. Not to mention how Northrend is still opening at the same date, and there is no compensation on this new server to make it so I can somehow replace the three weeks lost in leveling time before Northrend opens on this new fresh server.
Not providing an option for free transfers from Thekal to Jin’do will most likely not affect the current queue times on Thekal all that much as the number of people playing sub-level 30 compared to post-level 30 is starting to get rather big. I have a hard time believing a lot of people will be willing to leave at this point. Of course, if we continue to have 15k queues every single day it will hopefully make some people feel the pressure to leave so perhaps it decreases to 8k queues every single day. That’s almost half the queue which is a huge improvement, but it’s still a problem so we actually need at least 15k players to re-roll on the new server and I highly doubt that is going to happen. And how fair is it to put this pressure on the players? They’ve done nothing wrong. The current state on Thekal was created by Blizzard the moment you decided to bring only a single fresh PvP server across all regions in the EU.
I understand the argument about not offering free transfers as history clearly shows how that would only result in Thekal becoming 90% alliance, Jin’do 90% horde. But this is probably going to hurt the ratio by the fact that the server is already 60/40 alliance:horde and there is far more low-level ganking being done by the alliance on the server so low-level horde players seem to have a harder time as of right now so horde players are most likely to be easier tempted by re-rolling on Jin’do making this 60/40 slipping into 65/35, 70/30, etc… very quickly which will make it even more likely for horde players to re-roll and less likely for alliance players to do so and thus faction balance goes down the drain regardless.
There is also the argument on how you should treat your existing player base. The players of Thekal have done nothing wrong. There was only one option for a fresh PvP server and people rolled on this server. Having the solution for 15k queues on a daily bases to be another fresh PvP server when existing players have been struggling with for three weeks out of the total of five weeks pre-patch and aren’t even allowed to free transfer sounds really tone-deaf if you ask me.
No, it’s not. Fresh means everyone starting at lvl 1, with no gold, no maxed out professions etc. That’s the whole point of fresh servers.
because I want to gank people in the open world
Bro you have 7 days played in 14 days. Don’t pretend you don’t have time to start fresh again
im neutral on the topic but how is it relevant if people have pvp gear? you do realize its all going to amount to absolutely nothing at the launch of wotlk?
Gonna get one to 70 on the freshfresh as well. I’m coming out on top regardless of which server becomes 99% alliance trash
And how about some information on this new fresh server? Is Joyjus +50% going to only last for two weeks and disappear once Northrend opens on this server? Will it launch and be at the same state of the pre-patch events as all the other servers or will it start from day 1 of the event?
Considering how both Vanilla: Classic and TBC: Classic had a rather large drop-off of players after about 2-3 months I wouldn’t feel very confident about the state of this new fresh PvP server, to be honest. How many players interested in the fresh experience leading up to the WotLK release haven’t started playing already? This new fresh server sounds like a magnet for casual players that have had the biggest issues with the current queue situation and that sounds like the portion of the player base that is most likely to disappear in 2-3 months. This will also mean you’ll have to convince all your friends and guildies (if you are invested in whatever guild you are currently in on Thekal) to actually re-roll with you.
Releasing this as a pure fresh PvP server that is supposed to create a brand new fresh community, three weeks after everyone hyped for fresh servers already started and has invested a ton of time and effort on Thekal seems naive to me.
If this is going to help the current state of Thekal you are pretty much asking existing players who have done nothing wrong to just toss all the effort they’ve dedicated for the past three weeks down the drain and risk the fact that this new server might struggle a lot with getting a healthy player base going as there are no free transfers from Thekal meaning that you have to hope for there to be enough players actually re-rolling for this server to become healthy.
The idea of only having two weeks with the Joyjus buff to level before Northrend opens up sounds like something that isn’t ideal for more casual players. They won’t get close to level 70 in that time. And those who play more hardcore and can level in that time are most likely level 70 on Thekal already, with maxed out profession, PvP gear grinded, and not willing to do it all over again on this server.
I just fail to see how this is the optimal way of doing things.
Pls just make the game playable.
I am a healer and enjoy it a lot, and if I get DC its no point…
Mid boss dc with a tank that has retri gear. They need my hots man!
The utter incompetence of this company would be laughable at this point, if it wasn’t so sad for us players to deal with … . I took you 2 weeks to come up with this ‘brilliant’ solution to elivate the queues on Thekal and you won’t even offer transfers? You expect people to just accept having their time wasted and that it was all for nothing … and now you expect them to do it all over again??? … what a joke lmao
How would friends and guildies know if they are all going to end up on the new server before the limit has already been filled? Suddenly half of your guild got stuck on the old server, and half of them got transferred before the limit was hit.
peon not even 70 more like 47 or 48 but i have invested time in doing professions and making some gold on top of waiting in queue for many many hours
so total time invested including queue is too much for me to reroll now unless i can transfer and keep name (but only if server becomes too imbalanced and horde dwindle)
FOR THE HORDE
