I dont mind. As long as you balance the factions. Or maybe even lock one faction or another for character creation when one gets to 60% or something.
Something similar to Eranikus wouldn’t really be applicable to Thekal thoguh. Eranikus was a new server created to offload overpopulated existing servers, not to offload a fresh server. For players on Thekal to transfer to a server that is also going to get players from overpopulated servers such as Gehennas would defeat the purpose of having played on Thekal, to begin with as we transfer to a server filled with players with huge amounts of Gold and prior player history from Vanilla and TBC: Classic.
And as far as I’m aware players from Skyfury (the Thekal equivalent in the US) never had free transfers to Eranikus?
a suggestion i made earlier
perhaps offer bundle transfers to transfer all Characters on an account from Thekal to this one.
likewise, perhaps offer a Guild transfer where the guild master can sign up, if more than 50% / 60% accept then all those that accepted will be transfered in one single go. noone left behind (only those that decline)
that would ensure the whole guild got transfered. likewise ensure that you dont end up with only some toons transfered
Personally I think it would have been smarter instead give DACHL, Frankophon and Russia a new fresh realm and allowing free Transfers to them from Thekal.
But that would require Blizzard understanding that Europa and EU are not Synonym and that Europeans speak different languages.
But it seems I am still naive in this after the first Classic Servers, SoM and now with killing Celebras for HWL.
You really should allow transfers from Thekal at least, I would be so mad if I had leveled or was leveling a character on Thekal and had to start all over to be able to play without queues.
Then by ur logic, Thekal isnt a fresh server anymore and shouldnt be labelled as one
Hey, Tekhal player here, great, we’ve been asking for a new server. The problem is that we can’t transfer to it. I would. Many would. This doesn’t help a lot, since many of us don’t want to leave the 3 week progress behind, if we wanted to many of us would’ve already created characters on an other realm. Good change but not really helping the main issue.
Thank you for the new FRESH server.
Thekal is similiar to existing realms with thousands of people at 70 with thousands of gold in full brutal gear and bots running wild.
Please don’t let people transfer here from ANY server including the STALE(formerly FRESH) servers, it ruins the point of a fresh start where everyone starts from nothing.
by your logic any server older than 3 days is then “stale” why you even playing the game then?
Well you see this server gives me another chance at making it out on top after I failed on the stale(formerly fresh)server because of queue, my two jobs and three wife’s sons.
I don’t wanna play on a server with a ruined economy where people have more gold than me, so you boys can stay out and wait in line for your STALE experience or try to make it big with me on the new and improved FRESH.
The first 1-2 weeks of fresh are magical.
i agree the first week is magical experience. but calling a 2 week old server stale just because that person got behind the curve is a bit much. those 2 weeks dont make much difference overall.
and the way jin’do is being implemented wont really solve the thekal problem
You even don’t need to walk in most cases - cuz summoning stones are everywhere, just find group and lets go.
RDF transfors game into a monotonus grind. It is awful.
I guess compared to Jin’do, you could consider Thekal a bit stale.
No sadly that wont happen. Thekal is reportedly already 67% alliance and 33% horde
so 2 weeks after launch, if blizzard opens yet another server. are you rerolling there then?
Source?
According to my information its more like 55 - 45
It’s no re-rolling, you can just play on the fresh for a while and then stop.
At least you are not false banned for playing AV. Things could always be worse youknow
That´s true, didn´t have this in mind.
Just checked, you are right, there were no transfers from Skyfury.
However, the queue wasn´t THAT long on Skyfury if i followed the US board correctly, only aroun 3k queue instead of the insane Theka queue.
The devs espect that a lot of player will stop playing on the fresh realms again, so maybe the just intented to sit it out on Skyfury
