New game mode idea - Dungeon Pvp Team Shuffle Mega Raid

You pick a difficulty and queue as a team of 5 - one tank, one healer, three dps

You are matched with 34 other teams, for a total of 175 players

Your team of 5 players enters a random (mega) dungeon, which will be the same for all teams

You clear the mobs as usual, until you reach the dungeon boss

The 5 fastest teams which reach the boss first will get some reward, and the 5 slowest ones will be matched together in the duo boss phase

Once all teams reach the boss (or are eliminated by taking too long), 5 random teams with 25 players will combine to fight the dungeon boss, with an added twist, a raid boss from a random raid (same for all players) will join the dungeon boss for a duo boss fight

The slowest 5 teams to kill the duo bosses will be eliminated (or whichever teams took too long to reach the bosses)

The teams that proceed are separated again, so you and your 4 buddies continue the dungeon from the next room, clearing the mobs until you reach the next boss, and repeat

However, at the end of each round, dps players on each team will be randomly chosen to 1v1 an eliminated player, if you lose the eliminated player takes your spot, but you can regain it back in the next round. After round 4, teams are locked and can no longer change. This can also be changed to make it a 3v3 or any other fun twist you can think of to add a pvp element to the mode

At the end of each round 5 teams (25 players) will be eliminated. When the 8th dungeon and raid boss duos fall, only 25 players will remain

These 25 players are the last standing ones and will all combine together to face Fyrakk, with the dps players gaining a passive dmg boost to compensate for there being 5 tank players

However, it wouldn’t be the same without some drama, so when the last 5 teams are chosen, each team can vote to replace a player on their team with a random player from the same role who was eliminated in the current round, i call this The Vote of Betrayal

When the last 25 players beat Fyrakk and the loot drops are rolled, any team can challenge another team to a 5v5 fight (with healing buffed), and if they win they plunder their loot, but if they lose they lose their own loot, the order of issuing challenges can be based on stats such as dps or hps done during the fyrakk fight

You can have the 4 difficulties like lfr normal heroic mythic, equivalent to +5, +10, +15 and +20. And of course you can buff the mobs a bit to make it more challenging to reach the bosses. I’ve got other ideas in my mind but this is just an alpha preview of what the game mode could be. I call it Dungeon Pvp Team Shuffle Mega Raid. Of course it works without the pvp part too, it just won’t be as spicy. You will get drops after each raid boss you clear, but perhaps you’ll get dungeon rewards only at the end of every other round to not make it too easy to get gear. And of course it will ignore the weekly raid lock. What do you guys think?

sounds like abit like we already have with mdi.

But i dont think what you suggest will work with randoms. People are going to leave like they do in normal m+. doing m+ with accasional duel doesnt sound like it keep alot of peoples attention. You will need both pve and pvp sets for one wich not everyone will be interested in getting.

Arent there better options for having a pve/pvp combination? Like how old alterac valley was? Both sides have npcs to deal with and can summon more to deal with enemies. I think a Dota like pvp mode would keep peoples interest more. Because if you look at the forums often you see people complain over the years about being forced to do m+ as a pvpers or having to do pvp as pve er for gear
